POE2 is boring

Warrior Titan till lvl 82 -had to migrate to totems
Sorcerer Stormweaver till 86 -spark archmage

Act 1-3 first playthrough was great.
Sound, art, graphics. Good stuff.

Armor, melee and life are just pointless. Got tired of dying due to bad melee skills design. Oneshot in mid animation way too often, so totems it was. Took all my gold to respec. So much fun.

Stormweaver spark archmage much tankier, with massive CC due to gloves. Make it make sense.

In the end, running cruel campaign was a slog. Maps no better.
Enormous maps, backtracking, no bosses in most of them. Drops bad, crafting bad. Ascendancy trials bad, didn't get points 7-8 in either class.
Had to trade for greater jewelers orbs, not a single drop. Not one.
Cost me all my currency.
Didn't figure out I had to get magic find on my gear to have any meaningful drop rates until I read online. Couldn't afford upgrading my gear through trade because everything costs several divines, which I found one of on both characters combined.
Crafting is dead. Pure chance, no currency drops to sustain chancing it either.
Didn't enjoy the vendor upon leveling up for upgrades minigame either.

Dying is too punishing. Lose the map, lose 15% exp, and then lose progress on atlas? Am I playing some hardcore/ruthless crossover here?

Do I look forward to patches and more content? Not really. Not unless the changes are fundamental and game changing.
And still, do I really want to go through 25 hours of a slow campaign every reset/league? No, it's too much time to get to endgame and maps for a casual player. 5-6 hours in POE1 feels fine. I could maybe deal with another hour or so. But 20+? No.

And calm down all you "go back to POE1 if you want zoom zoom zoom".
I will. Once the next league drops.

Which I'm much more excited for than another POE2 patch.

Spot on.
I'm just enjoying some rimworld and morrowind, waiting to see the next few patches and where they take the game. Stopped playing because I leveled a fire sorc, realized the build was bricked. Leveled a monk instead, realized the price of a staff to keep progressing was minimum 1 divine, for a crappy one, usually 2-3, and I didn't have any. So meh.

You can mod the crap out of morrowind now and make it look almost like a modern game. Absolutely tanks my system lol. Definitely a must if you've played it in the past and enjoyed it.

Yep.
I've returned to Grim Dawn after 4 years.
Amazingly fun. Can be modded heavily too. Lots of fun, new DLC coming too.

POE isn't the be all end all, and it was so nice stop trying to force it to be a fun game because of the expectation and hype.
Maybe POE2 will be a good game in a few years, maybe it won't.

There are other games out there, and I hope they do not stop making leagues for POE1.
