I feel bad for all the HC streamers, because who in their right mind, will ever give them credit again? they can just pause and leave, so as a viewer of HC players, it will now make me not care at all about their gameplay because it is 100% invalidated by pausing. If they are going to die, they should DIE.

Why should I not have a pause to take care of something that is happening in parallel with the game i.e. a phone call, my kid crying so on so forth, just because you won't like to view some videos any more? That's mental if you ask me. But I'll try to be fair and try to dig into this a bit further so I think that your problem isn't the pausing on it's own. Your problem is essentially the logout that is following a pause from whoever you're viewing that's porting them back to their hideout. So well, the proposal I suppose would be to remove the automated porting to safety, even if you log in again, you're gonna log in in the middle of the pack/boss that was going to kill you either way. Pausing in itself isn't part of the problem. |

Do not even try to come for the pause function. I don't play hardcore, I don't care if it trivializes the challenge for them. They can choose not to use it if it is so anathema to the game mode. I'm an adult, sometimes shit happens and having the option to pause the game to go handle it is far more valuable to me than the perceived purity of hardcore modes.

Usually died or used a portal scroll to get out. Didn't matter, I didnt play hardcore.
Now that it is implemented in POE2, I don't want it to change. It is incredibly helpful to those of us that have shit outside of the game that come up.
