Flasks, Charms and Slots
Hello Exiles,
is it just me or is the new flask/charm system boringly static and utterly crappy for a bunch of builds? Blood mages could use another item instead of a mana flask, maybe a 2nd health flask or a 2nd charm from the get go, any Chaos Inoculation build doesn't require life flasks but could use another charm. The static system is favoring boring life/mana builds a bit too much. Can we get at least 3 "universal" slots for either a charm OR a bottle with two additional unlockable slots either via belt suffix as is or some endgame missions via Doriyani like get one with t10 quests done and one with t15 or lock them behind 3rd and 4th ascension? Just a suggestion and a reminder that not all builds require all flasks and flasks were such a good and relatively affordable way in earlygame to fix your build while farming for better gear. Doesn’t really seem like the game is balanced around this proposal honestly.
For example, 1hp Sorcs don’t need a health flask, but having two mana flasks would trivialize much of the mana regen they are forced to balance in their build. However, I can see an argument for an exception being made for blood mage due to the health pool being used for casting. Compromise would be maybe as an ascendency unlock - allowing them to slot life flasks in mana flask, or alternatively an ascendency point significantly buffing their single life flask. |

If you mean 1hp sorc with CI, that is nerfed into the ground due to the absence of any ES leech. Poison which is chaos damage shouldn't affect the ES at all if passive recharge is the only means of "healing", meanwhile it blocks any ES recharge, same goes for burning ground...
Chaos Inoculation is utter crap at the current state and needs a buff not more nerfs or at least ES leech needs a comeback. Edit: And with Arcane Surge in the ascension tree, at least Stormweaver doesn't really have mana issues. Bloodmages, melees, ranged all get leech abilities on health, shield can only passively recharge. I am not saying make shields stronger but give an alternative like mana flasks heal shield instead of mana or even life flasks or allow CI users to stack shield leech instead of chaos resists on gear.... There are plenty of options and I don't see a balance issue with being able to freely choose the flasks you use or stack charms against otherwise impossible to overcome odds. ES seems like it’s so much stronger than HP or any of the alternatives saying it’s “nerfed to the ground” seems absurd. ES leech can effectively be accomplished anyways with that spirit skill that does the drops you pickup on mob kill anyways. |

Grim Feast works on clearing not bossing. No dead trash == no shield if poisoned or passive recharge blocked by other means. I haven't checked on "top" tier multi-mirror RMT backed builds but with a more common 5-10 divine build, CI is awful.
Try bossing without a life flask and only relying on gain 50 life per enemy killed and passive life regeneration. Edit: Recoup also only works for life and mana Edit: Life leech on enemy hit doesn't require 30 spirit either... Last edited by donmoza#1156 on Dec 29, 2024, 12:35:55 PM
