Gifted a early access epic games key

As the title says i was gifted an access key for epic games, i used the key on epic store to get the game, then when i logged in i linked my account to this account which i played 95% on steam, and now that its one account it says i no longer have access to early access. Not entirely sure what happened or what i messed up. Does anybody have any clue on how to fix this so i can play on epic but still use this main account that i have all my stash tabs and such on.

That key doesn’t give you access to Path of Exile 2 early access.

It just adds the game to your Epic Games library. You still need to pay for access.

whats the point of getting extra keys that your friends can give out then if it doesnt give you early access.
