Freezing Salvo Stopped Working

So I had done some gear changing and headed back out .. only to discover Freezing Salvo wasn't generating charges at all.

Checking the Gem in the Gem UI showed no errors or a red '!' to indicate it was disabled. While trying to figure what had happened I unslotted and reslotted the Skill Gem and it started working!

It was fine before I headed back to town when I did the gear changes and during that process at one point I unequipped a piece of gear with +DEX on it which meant my Bow couldn't be re-equipped.

Swapping in some +DEX gear got the bow equipped and everything was back to normal as far as I could tell, but I wonder if that glitch caused the Salvo gem to think it couldn't work?

No idea TBH.
