Mini-Map & Overlay Map

The in game maps could use some love.

Problems:
The max zoom out on the minimap often is still too zoomed-on to provide the desired info; and the full overlay map adds a ton of clutter to an already-busy screen - this is largely due to poor contrast against different game environments, since the map itself boils down to just white lines it can be hard to distinguish whether the space between two of those lines is traversable area or space between traversable areas.

Solutions:
A couple more sliders to further customize the map would go a long way: Map Fill and Map Border, and a color wheel for both. For example, I'm mostly fighting with fire spells at the moment, so I'd go for a blue fill to make it contrast better against the constant inferno I'm summoning - something like this:

(sloppy photoshop to showcase fill and border)

...if I was using shock or ice spells though, that blue fill would be a nightmare, so customization is key.

Map on a secondary monitor:
I would LOVE to be able to see map data without covering the game world; I've never actually played a game that supports dumping UI features onto a second monitor, but the ability to detach the map into its own click-and-draggable window, then drag that out of the confines of the game window over to my secondary monitor would be a QOL godsend. Other UI elements like inventory, chat panel, etc would also benefit from being added to the draggable window - again, customization is key, but 99% of the utility here would be with the map.

Food for thought - cheers!
