Can't activate Stone Altar in Jiquani's Machinarium

I have the Soul Core in my inventory, but nothing happens when I click on the first Stone Altar to open the rest of Jiquani's Machinarium. I removed any spells from left click just in case. Right now my character is soft locked. I will wait for the instance to reset and try again, but this seems like an obvious bug.
