Feedback on the viper fight
It's obviously very build dependent (so certainly some balancing/tuning to do) but the fight in itself is ok overall.
No, what's infuriating is two design decision after the fight: 1- On death effect : you have to fight her gards. Why? Just why? Like with Rathbreaker in Act2, and probably others, why put something than can kill you (and cost you the loot!) AFTER the boss dies. In a boss fight, you kill the boss, you win, you're happy, you don't fight and risk dying to some trash mobs. Stick to that GGG. 2- The reward is delayed. Why in the name of everything holy can't I just right click the gizmo she gives me to get my passives? I asked chat, and apparently it's next zone. Why? Just why? Ranty part Here's the thing, to beat this boss (and Mektul) I had to overhaul my build. Was playing gaz/explosive grenades, switched to lightning arrow, because the DPS was just not cutting it. It took me some time to get half decent bow and quiver, to properly learn the fight (I got her on the 4th or 5th try). And that second when she dies is the achievement of a few hours of work. I'm supposed to enjoy it, breathe a sigh of relief, feel the tension disappear collect my reward and soldier on with a renewed confidence to the next challenge. But no, fuck me, the game throws trash mobs at me that could kill me (fortunately they didn't), and then basically I get nothing. The gear is not for me (which is to be expected and that's ok), and it dangles 2 passives in front of me, no idea where I can activate them... Apparently I have to trudge through the next zone... So fuck me, again. Now instead of feeling happy I beat this boss, and that the work I put in payed out I'm just extremely annoyed, and I exit the game. Fix your shit GGG! Wait...So your telling me that because you died, you might actually have to review your build and make it better? Blasphemy. You get the sacrificial heart, and it says go sacrifice at an altar or something. You don't just right-click it. " Do you even know how to read? Where do I say that? you can trivialize this entire fight with 1 single charm that you can buy off a vendor.
Put your neurons together and figure it out. Step 1 is to self reflect.

The after-kill 'fuck you' with trash mobs on bosses is pure aids. +1 that is to just fuck around with players. It happens on executioner act 1, hyena act 2, and viper act 3, and I think it comes to later 3 acts too. It serves literally no other purpose that trying to fuck-up the player. Did not die to those - but it still sucks that this trash move from devs is in the game.
As for the passive points - I legit did not even know she drops the heart lol. Because in that area it drops from big fat guards. And yeah, you need to carry it to the altar in the next zone. Made me waste like half an hour on first playtrhough exploring all those sweet dead ends and endless corridors of both zones. |

How do you know I don't have an assortment of charms I switch around depending on the circumstances, so I don't have to buy them from a vendor like an idiot?
