I’ve leveled 3 characters to 80+. As soon as they reach the point where upgrades cost multiple divines, I quit and make a new class.

Crafting sucks. It’s just awful. Divines are so rare that it’s not worth the effort. Starting over and getting massive power bumps for 1-5 exalts is way, way, way more fun.

If their plan is for exciting loot drops to be 10-20 hours apart in endgame, they can keep it.

Since Exalteds are as common as Chaos Orb is in PoE1, this is pretty normal ratio.

Its very common in PoE1 Trade league we see 1 divine = 150-200 chaos in 2-3 weeks. Supply and Demand its normal to be honest.

This not only impacts div-tier items, but even somewhat trashy low-level leveling item prices too, as a result.

At this point and further, the trading website can be just directly integrated with PayPal. Because no need to pretend to be idiots, and we all know where players are going to be getting those orbs for leveling and gearing.

Agreed.

I’ve hit a wall with the game. After leveling my Ranger to 90 and grinding an unhealthy amount of endgame content, I’ve lost interest. I can’t keep up with the market for upgrades because most of my currency has gone to failed crafting attempts. On top of that, there’s no real sense of endgame progression, and the idea of starting another char feels overwhelming right now. I’m seriously considering selling 4th Ascension AFKs for a divine apiece.
If you're talking PoE1 sure it's fairly normal for Chaos to Divine to be 100-1 or even significantly more.

On the other hand my builds were never, ever world beaters -- I was not on the same planet as the 0.1% ... but by now I'd have 30-40 divines from doing mechanics, light crafting, or [rarest of all] finding them on the ground.

In PoE1 I could usually find some "economic niche" I could plug myself into even if my build was only suited for low tier mapping, low tier bossing, etc..

In PoE2 I don't see the same degrees of economic freedom -- From what I can tell there's very few limited ways to afford character progression and if you don't fall into one of those pidgeon holes you're doing it wrong.
Ya and right now it’s called rare on everything. Rare on your clothes, maps, underwear. It’s so bad that if you rolled a map that doesn’t have enough rare on the mods then you’re just wasting your time.

Why not sell 4th ascension carries [or similar]?? PoE1 was all about finding your niche and if you're in position to fill a need in the market then I say go for it.

Find your spot, make some currency, progress your character, and overall try to have fun. When the game stops being fun look for something that would be fun and move to that.

Well you need at least some maps for Towers :)
Ya that’s pretty much where I’m at. I’ll prob just end up taking a break for a couple of weeks and come back and try again another time.
