Feedback Points over playing so far

Hello GGG,

I have been playing Path of Exile on and off since it came out of beta. I am not considered a hardcore player or a sweat lord etc. I just always played the game somewhat casually and just for fun. So, I never really gotten super rich with ingame currency etc. I just did all the endgame content and struggle as a normal pleb like most others.

I gathered some feedback as a SSF player in Path of Exile 2. I choose SSF for Path of Exile 2 because I always felt it was overwelming to do so in Path of Exile one. As you need to target farm this and that and I just never got the appetite for it. But for PoE2 I thought why not start out in SSF right away, see how it goes while exploring what the game has to offer.

And I must say. I like what you created. I am really having alot of fun and I would say you did a good job so far where it doesn't feel that overwhelming being in SSF and progressing to about yellow tier maps close to red maps.

So here are some of the points (in random order from good to negative) that I gathered while playing:


* Can't see whether charm is used or not, and can't really clearly see if its full or empty unless you hover your mouse over it. Some more clear visible marker whether its full or empty would make the experience better.

* Why is "Light Radius" a stat in the game in 2024?

*SSF in this game has felt absolutely on-point from the beginning to about early-mid endgame. I feel like the Trial Drops could be slightly upped a bit earlier. They drop enough after a while but I feel like that point is "too late" for getting your 3rd ascendency points unlocked.

*Gold pickup range should be a bit larger. small QOL here. Same with the soul pickup range for dead mobs, should be atleast screenwide.

*What is absolutely ANNOYING game design currently is the amount of actions you need to do after going back to town. Everything you need/want to do should be done within a single NPC and window. Identify, Sell, Disenchant and/or Remove sockets. The Well I guess could be its own thing but not the rest...

*Alchemy Orb, Chaos Orb, Divine Orb, Orb of Annulment, Greater Jeweler Orb, Perfect Jeweler ORb, Vaal Orb, Glassblower Bauble, Gemcutter prism, Armourer Scrab, Blacksmith Whetstone, Arcanist Etcher are all too low droprate currently. Especially Divine, Annulment, Greater and perfect jeweler orbs are basically non-existent.

*[Possible bug] Deliverium Fog sometimes doesn't disappear but stays "stuck". I dont know if its intentional or you just need to go in deep and once deep enough you can stay there without feeling the "rush". I prefer it where you dont need to "rush".

*Bosses... Man you made them SO AMAZING and diverse ! I get you don't want them to spawn in every map I suppose but atleast get them in maps more often. Please add a precursor that adds bosses to maps. And if it exists, then its pretty rare and should increase droprate. Should only drop from killing bosses though.

*Not alot of uses for GOLD atm... Please consider more active use for gold. Maybe one solution could be a vendor that sells currency for gold. This would make gold have more meaning then currently and also people might think "adding more gold to maps etc" wouldnt be such a trash stat anymore.

*RECONSIDER the TITAN ONLY extra bag space! Give it too all players. WE KNOW YOU CAN. As you did so in PoE1 for a short while. That extra space is where we can all store our maps, precursors, currency, essences, delve stuff so we dont need to have 100 tabs open just to roll a map for example.

*RARE CHESTS are a absolute letdown 99.99999% of the time. NOTHING EVER GOOD comes from it... Please make finding one actually EXCITING. Getting at the very least 1 type of currency or interesting item like a guaranteed "tier X" armor or weapon.

*SPIRIT GEMS/GEMS in general: Please make higher level ones able to DOWNGRADE to level of choice. Currently its absolutely frustrating getting a lower level SPIRIT gem for example of certain level. The droprates are bad already and WHY, for what reason would we not be able to use a higher level grade to any lower level one??

*Ingame shop -> Not a fan of the stale images on the effects. I want to be able to properly review the effect.

*NOT a fan of the new opening of the strongboxes. Its boring how slow they come in, and the black foggy makes them hard to see and is also just plain annoying. I think the old way (the entire content spawning right after) is the right direction. Maybe not instantly but somewhat the same pace

*I really like the TIERING system of weapons/Armor. It would be a good way to get your character progress easier with the content (i.e going up the map tiers) etc. But they barely drop and another annoying thing is that when they drop its always something for another class. Just frustrating.

*I am not really a "fan" of having to use RARITY on gear etc. And, it also seems to be pretty OP as other streamers have clearly shown. Either way I think RARITY and DROPS should come from other ways then stats on your ARMOR. Same with QUANTITY.

*On-death effects you did too much off. What were you thinking?

*Not liking the 1 portal system. Please consider the following. Just reset the HP of whatever was being fought after using the portal. We all know the only reason you do this is because you dont want people cheesing the boss. Just make it so the boss always gets full HP and resets the fight after exiting portal.

*Please redesign the entire "Lost Tower" thing. I think its a waste of time to run these now. It doesn't help that you also not made it a straight line either.
