Breach: Design Intent?
Is there any design intent behind the inclusion of Breach? Is it intertwined with the future lore?
It does not fit with the combat improvements made in Path of Exile II. Was it included because there were development meetings which sorted out the best candidates to include in endgame, and SOMEHOW Breach won a spot? How did it pass playtesting? It seems like the rate of Breach growth and closure are the same? But the rate at which monsters and the player can damage each other is lower in PoE II. I struggle to sustain a Breach past killing 2 rares and my power level is otherwise a bit high for the content I'm doing [T9 rares]. When I do have enough monsters spawning densely enough to sustain it an undetected game freeze is produced. My character dies, and the map closes. The game does not crash, mind you, because an otherwise excellent crash-detection system has been implemented. The Breach freeze is apparently technically different. I will count my blessings that spin-off games like Delve and Heist never return, and that we never see a monster battler. Until then, I can only add my confused complaint to the hundreds that have been posted. Last bumped on Dec 28, 2024, 4:36:38 AM
