Idea for the movespeed on boots problem.

What about just linking the movespeed stat to the quality of the boots ?

Let me just throw this out there. What if there was an essence of haste. and you could use it on any white pair of boots. The essence could add speed mods. So depending on items level and rng since essence crafting isn't weighted, you could easy see 30-35% movespeed boots every white pair of boots with item level 82. 1 mod, 1 essence

Now if only any Essence mobs would actually drop the damn haste essence! I swear it is literally the only essence I've not gotten a lesser of, yet alone a greater.

Why would you use greater on Boots that will show movespeed with the cheaper essence everytime...White boots Lesser Haste essence.

lol, do you know how rare essence of haste are? Do you know the weight of the roll you will get? It's a 1 and 10 that you get 25% or better.

Essences are an absolute joke in this game dude.

Essence crafting is not and never has been weighted. It specifically does not apply here.... I know exaclty what I'm talking about and will now let this thread die as you are trolling me at this point...

Just checked for ya as I was curious. A lower essence of haste is 2 exalts. Obviously far from rare its cheaper than a chaos orb. Just saying.

I only originally posted to help the Original Poster so he could learn to slap a 2 ex Essence on white boots and go faster every time. Roughly to hit 35% as long as you have the right item level. IT's about a 1/5 chance. That's not bad. I however, am happy with my 30's as I need specific mods. Oh, and I crafted them with this exact method because boot prices are a scam early.
