Dark Effigy Does Not Crit

Im currently using sanguimancy and have 17% crit on Vile Effusion, part of the Dark Effigy. It appears that dark effigy does not crit, or the crit does not generate blood orbs.

I don't believe that this is a bug - totems do not generally count as 'you' for the purposes of on kill effects.
