Why can't SSF be offline?
I'm sure there is some technical reason why this can never be, but damn this game is so tedious. Sometimes I just need to take a break in the middle of working on a boss that I find a little tough or ultra buggy. I did that with the final boss of act 2 and when I came back I find the zone had been reset. Yet the other day I took a break from working on the Colossus fight in act 2 and when I came back I was still at that checkpoint. What gives? Between this... the armour issue and now people getting hacked.. I'm not sure I want to stick around for this

My brother in the Navy would love this but my guess is that it would turn into sandbox mode. Offline would lead to expoits and if not fixed immediately and often it would be expected that you could just hack in your stuff, losing the pride some people feel by playing ssf. I think an offline mode separate from this is a good idea still. Would probably bloat file size but it could be optional

The game's monetization model relies on being a MMO so people can show off their paid cosmetics. Offline mode means fewer people to show off to, possibly decreasing purchases.

" It would still happening on Stardard Leagues. Just SSF would be offline. But, I see why nothing can be offline. Hacking stuff into the game, dupping... and all sorts of things that plagged D2 for years. I think the real "fear" is that offline SSF becomes so much attractive that a good numbers of players would move way from the trade/economy enviroment. |

The tech isn't a problem Last Epoch has an offline mode. But you can't do micro-transactions so....
