ACT 3 CRUEL - JIQUANI'S MACHINARIUM SOUL CORE BUG

I never had problem with this but after reaching act 3 cruel with my second character and coming into jiquani's machinarium you are supposed to search for soul core and put it into stone altar.

The problem is that i picked up the soul core somewhere around the start of the map quickly and i can not put it into the stone altar.
i click on it and it doesn't work
i also dropped in on the ground , picked it up and tried again with no results.
this way the game is not letting me continue and i can not progress trought the campaign.

IF YOU COME ACROSS THIS PROBLEM GO BACK TO TOWN CLICK ON WAYPOINT
JIQUANI'S MACHINARIUM CTRL+RIGHT CLICK AND CLICK NEW INSTANCE AND DO IT AGAIN

I guess this happened after a death?
I found one soul core after a boss death and the altar didnt work. I just had to find the two other soul cores to open the last door. I guess you need the "third" soul core to open the third door?

Its probably a bug, because it doesnt feel good when all soul cores look the same and have "different" usage in this case.
