Chimera is the most annoying boss ever in the history of videogames
That boss just wastes our time. In act 3 and the trials aswell. Constantly flies off, can't hit it, can't hit the pillars, can't do anything with it in the air. And you are lucky if you can hit it a couple of times before taking off. Hammer of the Gods? Just forget it, the boss won't stay put for that much time.
Please GGG limit how frequently it can take off and how much time it can spend in the air!! 5 sec should be the absolute minimum on the ground after landing and maybe max 3 sec in the air but less would be better. Thanks. Last bumped on Dec 30, 2024, 7:34:39 AM

When he lands on the pillars you can easily avoid the attacks, wait for him to crush the pillar and he becomes stunned for a few seconds and then wail on him and break him down.

Honestly, the Chimera is pretty tame compared to his shadow clone - Whatshisname the Beast Lord. He's one of the Chaos Trial bosses, if you've never had the misfortune of getting him, and he has all of the problems you've listed...BUT, no pillars to collapse to stun him, and he's fought in an arena so large that you can straight up lose track of where the hell he is. I can't tell you how often I had to run around just trying to FIND the damn critter.
Not the most difficult boss, but easily the most obnoxious to fight. |

" What are you talking about? You have to crush it, but you can't if it's not sitting on it. And the moment you would start to hit the pillars it flies away. If you are lucky then it will stay put for long enough, but 3 out of 4 times I killed it in act 3 I couldn't crush a single pillar, and the fights were 10min+ long because it always flew instantly away the moment I reached it with melee. In the trial you don't even have pillars, 0 chance to stun it, and it flies to the other end of the map, so you have to run across it over the fkn ice patches on the way slowed down just to hit it 1 maybe 2 times again if you are lucky. As Xndar says, not difficult but obnoxious af. |
