They added the Currency trading system that is so good, it's great and fast.

If you slow down the gameplay on one side (ok, I can take it) you have to "compensate" on the other side but not make it worse and more slow.

Exactly they can't tell us they dont have the technology for it. As the exchange showed us they can implement trading into the game quite well at that (the exchange at least).

And i wouldn't mind having/buying a "Shopping cart stash tab" as a target for the automated trade, to place the items into. Heck i guess 90+% of trade players would be fine with it requiring both a target and a currency tab if that meant you could just buy directly from the site or an ingame AH.

Trying to trade is even worse then in PoE1, we have at least bots there that will trade you stuff.
But in PoE2 if you are needing to trade you pretty much have to spawn camp a dozend different items on the trade site and spam all the 5 people that pop up every hour with 10+ whispers and pray to whatever entity you worship to hope to even get a trade going.

Just to get the notorious xyz player is not online when you message them.

People just dump their stuff into a tab in hope to sell but then dont respond because they are stuck in boss fights/waystones/campaign etc. and just dont wanna respond.

If you dont believe me GGG play a char on trade and try to trade for items at a reasonable price, no throwing 200 mirrors at a 1ex trade and see how long it will take you. Just as a fyi as i type this i'm trying to get a unique item for up to 10 ex that usually goes for up to 5ex and i have been up to that for like 3 hours now. I hope i will manage to acquire it while it still is 2024....

TLDR: Trade without an AH is a horrible waste of Time right now! FIX THIS S***!

+1 trading it's worst part of this game
Yes please.

1- Alva intercepts the trade whisper.
2- Alva takes the currency out of my stash tab.
3- Alva delivers the currency to the seller and takes the item.
4- Alva comes back to the base. Item is added to Alva's new Trade window.

There, I can buy the item after paying the necessary gold fee as if the item was being sold by Alva.

Thank you.

I agree. The current trade system is really unpleasant.

I have a limited number of map portals, and the maps are comparatively bigger and more time consuming than POE1, so I get annoyed when right after I was ported out of a map trading an item, I port back into the map only to be whispered again.

Not to mention that nearly 1/3 of the time I try to port to the person, my game crashes, and I have to restart and log back in to finish the trade.

The whole process became so annoying I turned my trade tabs off as it's not fun and not worth my time to sell. (I don't buy items, as I'm basically playing "SSF with friends", and just selling the nice off-class drops to the community)

EA is a time for experimentation.... GGG should change trade to have "automatic exchange".. leave everything about the trade system the way it is, except, when you list an item for a fixed price, the system should automatically exchange it for the appropriate currency items from the buyer. When I opened my premium tab, a bunch of the spots would then have currency sitting there I could collect, and replace with more items to sell.

I bet people would love it, and it wouldn't wreck anything.. and if it did, this is EA and they could turn it off again.

Its not just the annoyance in maps, the campaign maps are huge already as well.

So it takes ages to through the campaign and if you have to jump in and out to trade ever 5min, not only is it annoying AF but also makes the whole process take a lot longer. Unless you go full /DND mode but then you effectivly turned your trade off.
-1 nah instant buyout of items and an AH has already been talked about over the years and in interviews just in this year alone. The answer was a resounding “no”

This was also talked about in interviews about giving too much power. They don’t want to release too much and then have to dial things back

They wouldn’t do something like this

Minus one
Trade system is awful, janky and does feel like a waste of time on most occassions imo.

The view that because it saves x hours farming the perfect piece yourself doesn't excuse the clunky experience tabbing in and out, browser crashes, having to refresh and of course... not actually getting any responses when you finally get that search just right and find the perfect upgrade. Tick ssf if that's your thing.. don't suggest that the rest of us should suffer because you don't mind wasting your time.

+1 100% agree, if you dont want to trade go SSF, but for trade there is no reason we can't have some sort of automatic AH

I don't care about friction, I care about my time.

trade is 100x quicker than finding the gear yourself, thats why you do it. its not costing you time, tis saving you insane amounts of time.

I never thought of it this way, but it tracks perfectly.
I've sold a few things, but never managed to buy anything and not for a lack of trying. Complete waste of time.
