Has any Sorceress completed the acts solo?

Title has it all; just wondering if any sorceress has completed the basic acts solo, without mods, cheats, etc.

If so: I'd sure like to know the build.

Are you sure you’re playing PoE2? You weren’t googling for Pillars of Eternity 2 and ended up here right? ;)

There aren’t really any mods or cheats, if people have them, they should expect to be banned for it.

Anyways, to your question, I completed the acts solo as a sorc, it’s one of the strongest classes. I switched between a spark/lightning focused build, and a fire&ice build using frost wall and fireball.

Just google “PoE2 Sorc Leveling Build” and you’ll have tons of great options to pick from, all will work.

If you still have trouble, you need to upgrade gear / trade. Google “PoE2 Trade” learn to use the trade site, get a staff with +4 to all spell skills and +50%+ Spell Damage. Grab a pair of boots with + movement speed while you’re at it. Will cost 2 exalted orbs total. (Save your exalted orbs for trade, DONT use them on items till you figure out how stuff works). If you finished the first 3 acts you also have access to the currency exchange in the new act 1 cruel (“act 4”) (talk to Finn) you can trade stuff for exalted orbs there too.

Do the above and you’ll be breezing through the campaign in no time as a sorc.

I beat the campaign on my sorcerer after giving up on a level 8 warrior and a level 16 witch. The play style just wasn't for me, but I will go back to them eventually.

I also beat it on my monk & between the two, the sorcerer felt better much, much earlier on. My sorcerer is still stronger in a DPS sense than my monk despite being 7 levels lower now.

If you're struggling, there is a build forum section that could potentially help you out. But yeah, thousands of players have beat the campaign on sorcerer and I highly doubt they had to cheat to do so.

You can not win as sorceress or any other class for that matter without using the meta builds. The majority of skills and passives are useless and will just make it harder to pass the campaign. Use something broken like spark - cast on shock - archmage if you're on sorceress and you'll have a much easier time clearing the campaign.

Uh... I picked up Ember Fusillade, put the gem that splits it into 3 per cast. Use firewall of course. There is a node that gives you extra damage when something is ignited and another when they are shocked, just spam spark when waiting for ember and your firewall is already up to get that damage in.


Just go for damage stuff in the tree for most of the campaign, and you can beat it while absolutely annihilating bosses. Try and craft a good staff on the way (or buy from vendor), +X to fire skills is 5x better than anything else you can get.


Thats it. You can get through all 6 acts with this. I'm a PoE noob. I did that after struggling with the warrior, took like 5+ minutes to beat Act 1 boss with him while dodging and sweating like a madman. With the Sorc I beat him in 30 seconds running circles around him.


As far as my personal experience goes, Sorceress felt like easy mode.

I mean that's just not true. It's true to say beating the game with a brain-dead build (i.e. one picked by a 4 year old at random) is very difficult to impossible, but the game is about building your character...

If it was "easy" to beat the game with a build picked at random by a 4-year old then there really wouldn't be much to the game.

That being said, I beat the game without a meta build. For the final boss fight I had some abomination of a build using all 3 elements lmao.

Just because you struggle with your current build does not mean "meta is the only answer" it just means your current build is bad and you should try something else. Making a bad build just means you made a bad build, not that you have to follow meta.

My first magic weapon drop was a frost/ice staff and I decided to lean into full ice spells and staffs. Furthermore I haven't looked up anything online for my sorc, because I wanted to experience everything myself.
The hardest fights were normal mode Act 2 final boss and in cruel mode the assassin ghost boss in traitors pass. My idea was to skill glas cannon style only dmg skills and that made the game sometimes harder for me, because 2 hits and I'm dead. But on the other hand I like to fight at my limit against those bosses. I hit the endgame at lvl 67 after 71 hrs.

sorc is one of the easier classes to complete the campaign with.

And what mods/cheats? You realize this is an online multiplayer game so neither of those things are possible right?

Sorceress is one of the easiest classes to play through the acts.

Put Flame Wall down and cast Spark through it. Put down an Orb of Storms when you get it, too.
