Instant logout

Many, if not most, of the problems with PoE 1 can be traced back to one decision - allowing instant logout. In fact, PoE takes it further than most other games by allowing logout macros.

Instant logout means that the only way you're realistically going to die is one-shots. Other means of death, such as resource exhaustion, don't exist since you can just log out.

The presence of one-shots and instant logout means you effectively have one HP. Either you die from a hit or you don't. Which in turn means that the best defense will always be offense. Get just tanky enough to not get killed by unavoidable damage, then focus on killing things before they get to you. Zoom-zoom playstyle is unavoidable in a game with instant logout. Trying to fight it is hopeless.

With the focus of PoE 2 being more involved combat with more complex fights, I thought that for sure they would get rid of instant logout. But to my surprise, not only is instant logout still in the game, its more powerful than ever due to the ability to pause.

This means that the game is destined to become a rerun of PoE 1. Any hope for more complexity is an illusion. The end result is inevitable.

TLDR: Please remove instant logout and rebalance the game around that.
