Crossbow loading stuck

Sometimes at least for explosive shot, when you have shot and you should reload but panick attacking keeps going, it just shoots blanks and wont reload. Died so many times because i keep pressing attack, nothing comes out, and it won't start to autoload. Waiting and hearing the loading sound helps, but when you have the chance to not lose ammo when shooting this is really odd behavior. I think it should start to reload no matter how much I keep spamming the attack button. Otherwise I need to keep checking all the time can I shoot can I shoot... really breaks the gameplay loop.
