Endgame is ending the game for everyone real
Endgame is not engaging at all. If this is the standard for what they want they will kill the game before it lives. I understand wanting a difficult yet rewarding game but ummm where is the reward? One life maps should be an option that empowers the map with rewards and citadels should be something you can repeat over and over until you beat it. I just literally spent 80+ hours and finally found my first citadel and i already have zero interest in wanting to find more. GGG you need to use your heads here. You had all this time with POE 1 and you have literally thrown every enjoyable good decision away just so you can say "HARDCORE" and pat yourselves on the back. The endgame is a horrendous slog fest of kill white mob, kill blue mob, finally find yellow mob, oh no i have to run back 7 mins because the yellow mob i missed was in a small cubby hole that looked like a closed of section.
The rate this game is going no one is going to be excited for this game because you pushed everyone away that wants to enjoy the game. I know the childish ego gamers will scream "it's better this way, the game should be punishing because enter generic low IQ reason here" If i die to a pinnacle boss that took me 100+ hours of farming what did i learn? i learned to not engage with a company that has zero respect for their players and treats them like absolute garbage. I am loving POE 2 and the boss fights are amazing but why make boss fights impossible to engage with in the endgame? why am i spending 1% of my endgame play time on bosses? what is the reason we cannot see where the citadels are located so we can plan a route. Why are we not allowed to play the game. There is nothing punishing nor fair about a game designed to kill you in half a second with full resistances and give haste and insta freeze to regular enemies or rare mobs. The game feels like the monsters have POE 1 player mechanics and we are the white mobs they run through past Tier 8. I am doing tier 13, 14, and 15's and i only die due to cheap poor game design or off screen one shots or AOE's that have a 1 frame instance with no reaction period. Enemy damage needs to be scaled back by at least half if this game is has any chance of staying alive. You had such a good formula for the first 3 acts, why make the endgame so miserable and unengaging and uninspired? I really hope someone reads this over at GGG but knowing this company if i am not a streamer paid by them or sweet talking them i will not get any response nor recognition as we are just $ to them, we are not worth anything in this companies eyes and it shows so painfully with recent decisions made on the game. Are you having fun? yeah? ok we will nerf you with no compensation of used time. Are you enjoying the game? yeah? ok you are not allowed to play the contents of the endgame because we prefer unsatisfied customers more than happy customers. You cannot have the game play like POE 1 and have the player 100x slower and weaker in power. That is not difficulty, that is lazy slop from poor inexperience. I haven't yet... it's so boring trying to get through the campaign twice as it is... much less on different builds/classes that it's insane. I get so bored I try a different built/character before I even hit 50. I'm getting the feeling this is going to be just like POE 1 where you're required to do the campaign every single time you create a character. If that's the case I might bow out.
