How to survive big physical hits on Warrior? How to facetank physical endgame bosses?

Since armour is useless for this and I reached endgame I need a way to not get oneshot by Silverfist, and facetank rares that do heavy physical dmg.

Any suggestions for how to facetank Silverfist's strongest slam in maps? Is it reasonable for a Warrior to go Mind over Matter and get a lot of mana or is that unrealistic if you want to have a lot of STR?

There's only 2 uniques that I've seen that affect physical damage mitigation:

* Hollow Mask. (15% additional physical damage reduction.)
-This barely does anything and won't decrease the incoming damage by a lot.

*Cloak of Flame. (40% of physical damage taken as fire damage.) -Didn't test this item, could be good but still not enough in high tier maps to survive Silverfist comfortably I feel. Also, it has low armour... Why did they give physical mitigation to a caster armour? So casters are naturally tankier than melee? How does that make sense?

There's also physical mitigation that can roll on a shield, but it's not much. Arctic Armour spirit gem supposedly decreases physical damage but it does not seem in a noticeable amount.

What else I can do to mitigate physical damage on a warrior? Let's assume 2-3k HP build.

If it's not possible to comfortably tank as a melee then I will have to skip Silverfist in maps and any other dangerous physical encounters...

I don't think you are ever supposed to tank that column slams, the only way is to roll out

Cloak of Flame and 90% max Fire res. Encase in Jade, a bit of Armour. Enfeeble aura. Not much else you can do. It's also what I'm doing.

That would be such a bad game design. If it two-shots, fine, whatever. But it's too easy to die if it's a oneshot and it ruins Hardcore.

That I don't know, also depends on map and mods. I was merely answering your question of how to get PDR. There isn't a lot you can do, currently. Armour scaling is scuffed, so Cloak of Flame is your best option.

However, combined with Enfeeble + Jade stacks, a slam here and there deals quite noticeably less damage to me. I'd say I probably get pretty close to 50% effective damage reduction. 36% from Cloak, 10% from Jade, and the rest from a bit of Armour and Enfeeble.

My character has 2.7k HP, 90/80/80% Fire/Cold/Lightning max res and currently 58% Chaos res. I also pretty much perma-stun mobs and deal DoT while moving, so I can run T16s no problem. I don't tank every slam though, I just happen to survive when I do get hit here and there. Most dangerous mobs for me so far are the Vaal ghosts and Eye of Winter spammers with their Cold Damage & Freeze. Not even snakes and tentacle dudes hurt nearly as much.

Edit: Besides, if the map version is anything close to the non-map version, which it likely is, it's not the slam you should worry about, it's the broken af rolling attack he does.

If you can tell me which map he spawns in, I can try and run a test for you. My character recently died to Freeze because I forgot to equip the correct Charm, so I don't have anything to lose right now anyway, lol.

He spawns in Jungle Ruins map. Would be nice to know how much you get hit for with and without mitigation from cloak. Or how much he hits you for with your max mitigation.

I bought the cloak and from quick testing decided that it doesn't make me anywhere close to as tanky as I want to be in maps.

So I am going totems build instead as melee is too hard in HC.
