Temple of Kopec

What is the secret of beating this boss the first time you encounter him especially if you can't max your resistences? Obviously I need fire resistences but even that doesn't help if you can't dodge him either. I am trying to craft as often as possible but the RNG is worse than going to Vegas. Starting to get pretty discouraged. I have tried three other classes and all with the same struggle. No good gear finds. Other games I play I don't have to rely on trade.

Do your boots have move speed? If i recall corectly which boss this is, than a lot of his mechanic are just dodgeable by running.

That's the big statue guy with the big axe correct? If so, I eventually found out the best way I lived in the fight was to be close to him, then when he charged up his big nasty hit, I just dodged past him to his back.

I tried ranged fighting him, but kept getting deceived by the hitbox of that nasty overhead attack.

No it is the guy with the FIRE that when it hits you, you die within a second. I do have movement speed but while I am dodging, I am also not hitting him with any of my skills as I can't do that and cast.

And I have farmed the two zones before to death and can't get enough stuff to get better gear or at least 75% fire resistence as well as high enough attributes to use either armor or evasion.

I have played POE1 for years and though I have never reached level 100 I was at least able to complete the story and get into maps and do some of the content. THIS version of POE just isn't as fun. I don't do the trading or having someone carry me seems pointless if I am to play.

Anyway, not complaining just a bit frustrated with playing and being stuck while see so many folks getting through the acts just fine.

I think part of it is people just start dodging when just plain running is better if you have the movespeed, sure dodge has some Iframes and a burst of speed but its also got end lag that will get you clipped by persistant attacks, so its good to know when to dodge and when to just run.

So that gathering pewpew is easily avoidable by just running to the side

ok Running but never killing as I simply can't do any damage when I am running or rolling or whatever you call that. Ketzuli high priest of the sun is just too fast and I don't do much damage apparently.

With the exception of the Forge boss, you can defeat all bosses on low dps, assuming you learn their moves.
