*Edit* Coin for ascendancy removed from game after dying and killing Balbaya, MISSABLE/BUGGED

*Edit* I died after killing Balbaya (skill issue) and the quest coin for ascendancy was removed from the game world before I could pick it up and get quest. Now when I return to traitors passage to clear, no boss or coin is present, my character is bugged. Let me know if there is a fix! Otherwise I'm spinning up character #2. Thanks to everyone for the replies, and to the folks who came here just to leave an insult and leave but show off their 30 supporter badges remember being kind is much more helpful to the growth of this game than any amount of money you pay.





Game doesn't give a breadcrumb or hint for player to unlock their ascendancy class

So I was wiping at level on act 2 boss (call me bad, cause I am)
and it wasn't until I seen a steam friend online, 10 levels lower than me (I was 30) and they had an ascendancy class. I asked them , where did you do that?
They told me to go find a trial,

my issue is that the game never gave me a hint to find a trial for more power! If I was a casual I probably would have quit from being so weak and never having the ascendancy.

I think it would be wise for a majority of the players of this game to at least get some sort of quest hint or something to seek this out! Because for the most part I cleared all maps and the traitors passage leads you to the next quest area, easily missing the balbaya the traitor.

I know Path of Exile is about discovery, and I don't even look online my first playthrough! However, if I never seen this, that means many others who like to play blind never see this.

Please add a small breadcrumb or hint to go get ascendancy from trial in act 2, there is nothing leading the player here other than chance.

Thank you! So far I love path of exile 2 and it's my favourite ARPG, bringing difficulty back into a genre played by easy brainless gameplay like diablo 3 and 4.

I never got a quest item, quest objective or anything, so maybe my game glitched. I've cleared the entire map and nothing happened.

Can someone tell me if it's supposed to be before or after Jamanra the abomination? idk why it never showed in my game, I'm level 30 and never got any quest objective or items for ascendancy.

First ascendancy is before the end of act 2 yeah, the zone you need to go to is Traitor's Passage I think and kill Balbala there, that boss drops a coin quest item that is used for your first trial and its infinitely retryable. Hope this helps.

Hello to everyone posting smart ass comments, MY QUEST LOG IS EMPTY. I only have the quest to kill act 2 boss.

I'm not sure if I killed balbayba and I died and never got to grab the coin

(when you die, all items in instance are destroyed)

but I can assure you I cleared that area, never got item or quest, I'm much farther. Please keep in mind this is early access bugs happen.

I've cleared this area twice now, I'm not sure if the other night I beat the boss and died before picking up coin. For some strange reason my only quest is to kill Jamanra. Whenever I attempt to find Balbala in traitor's passage she isn't here. So I'm not sure what happened but after checking my quest log all quest are compeleted except kill Jamanra.

Anyway I will come clear on a second character and find out if this was a glitch of the coin being destroyed before I could pick it up! Thanks.
