Bahlak, the Sky Seer's tornado is terrible design, especially for melee.

The hit radius on this is not apparent when you are standing on the opposite side of it. It kills way too quickly. The time it takes for him to summon it and it appearing right on top of melee players is a tragedy.

Please re-think this one.

I'm stuck at that shit design of a bird for the very reason of that tornado.
Apparently the way GGG expects you to beat this bird is to keep doing ultimatum until you get the other boss. At least that was my takeaway from that miserable experience. Between the small platform, mods that slow/stun and/or make parts of the platform unavailable, and the insta cast insta gib tornado, that boss is just unkillable unless you can drop him before he calls that skill.

"Terrible design, especially for melee" could just about be this game's catchphrase.
Here is some additional food for thought:

As a monk with a metric ton of DPS, I will manage to get him down to about 30% life before he even tries to summon anything or do any special attacks.

The problem is that as a melee character, the indicators for the tornado popping up are so quick and easily missed, that you aren't even aware it's happening until it's spawning right on top of you. If you have even a single slowing/stunning mechanic running during this fight, you're almost always dead before you can get out of the center of it.

I have run around 10 trials and I have finished 2 of them. Of the 8 deaths I have had, 4 of them have come to this single mechanic.

They need to either drastically reduce the damage, make it smaller, increase the time to summon it and make the indicators more obvious with visual and audio cues, to allow people time to adjust. Especially in the midst of what is usually an insane amount of movement impacting mechanics active in the fight at the same time.

It just doesn't feel good. It feels extremely lazy and is my biggest gripe with Trials of Chaos.

Edit: Also, please for the love of god allow me to travel to my hideout without siting through waiting screens on the map and having to travel to act 3 first. Good god.

For something that basically instakills you there is not enough telegraph or windup.
The master busy at work, designing the apex of creation - truly the pinnacle of design - Bahlak the Sky Seer

"I have the mostest perfectest idea..." he said, eyes glazed and glassy as if there was no life behind them.
"First, We will make a small square arena!" he sputtered, bits of cheetoh and hot pocket crumbs erupting from his mouth as his lips flapped about.
"Well, tell us more" they replied, curiously at this geniuses masterful design - highly anticipating what could be so promising as to be the "pinnacle of design."

"So it's like this bird, right? And you fight it in this small square arena, ok?" he exclaimed as a tendril of snot hung from his nose. His eyes crossed staring off into the distance.
"It will have several immunity phases, and summon tornadoes!" barely able to hide his excitement and arousal his pants began to tighten as he breathed heavy and rapidly.
"That doesn't seem like anything particularly good, what about this is so masterful?" the other devs replied.

"Well, it will go immune and turn into A MASSIVE tornado! And it will have 150% more movement speed, and take up 2/3 of the entire arena, touching it will instantly kill you from 100-0 as well even with max resists and tons of life/armour and a 1,400 Mind over Matter mana barrier to protect you! The best part is this is only a level 38 boss!!" As he uttered this last line he feinted and urine began to flow from beneath his Spongebob Squarepants underwear.

Lmao. This should be printed.
The issue is...
* it's not telegraphed very well
* it does not ramp up - it does full damage INSTANTLY
* the arena has very little room to move
* the boss is untargetable and non-interactive while in-effect
* It does at least 1k dmg/sec at level 40 and twice that at level 75; no non-ES/MoM build is surviving this
* It's physical damage DoT and cannot be mitigated by almost anything in the game bar a few exceptions

This boss is honestly harder than the trialmaster right now.

Couldn't agree more. I just died to his tornado again. I honestly just have no desire to keep playing Trials of Chaos until they address it.

It's insane to me that the best way to play Trials of Chaos/Sky Seer is to go play maps, deck yourself out with an OP build and gear, and DPS him down before he has time to do this move.

Literally the opposite of what they sold us that the boss mechanics were going to be.
