Bad trading system is literally in the mission statement

I remember the days where I stood in Kamadan, the Jewel of Istan, yelling "WTB TORMENTED SHIELD" in a fully spammed trade chat all day. This seems alot better, it also has a certain charm to trade with players in game and clicking on them vs a boring auction house screen.
I wouldn't mind a slightly better system. Trying to buy rares is a tiring experience. Majority of players don't respond.

Then you don't know if it is because they are busy/it isn't worth their time/trying to price fix/etc.

It's only "bad" if you genuinely do not understand. And just because you don't understand won't stop it being a net negative for the game, and spoiling it for the rest of us.

No thanks. If you want an Auction House, there are plenty of MMOs for you to enjoy.

Auction house encourages people to underbid each other.
Very hard to price fix in a healthy auction house economy.

And this shows how little those who want this really understand.

When I (and most people) talk about an auction house, that includes "buy it now" functionality.

We have seen system your talking about in other games.
I personally know people who have been price fixin ah in wow for years and in this game that would be way worse.

People don't think what it does to the game, the economy or other players when making these requests.

People logically only want a thing that seems positive to their personal experience because that's how humans work. These threads will continue ad nauseam.
i dunno why people defending the complicated trading system now

Everyone pines for the "good old days" of EC Tunnels, and Faymart. But the truth is, those old market places were ghost towns a week after the bazaar opened.
the real problem are in the cheap items, if you are buying a 1div item, pretty much all players invite you instantly and stop what they are doing to sell
it's just not worth it to stop what you are doing for 1ex or sometimes even less than that. I scroll down and find one with better rolls being sold for 3~5x and the chances of getting an answer back skyrocket
what we need is a selective /afk that you can set up based on item price or a "cheap stuff AH"

Why would anyone sell a rare item for only 1 or 2 exalts? They take a minimum of a regal + 3 exalts to make, and realistically more like 10 exalts to get a decent one.

I mean, it's nice that people are willing to part with them, but I don't understand it. Is it really worth your time to take that much of a loss on the items?

They list it below crafting cost, because it cost them one Scroll of Identify at most to acquire.

Maybe I need to stack more +rarity. Everything good thing I've gotten I've gambled (crafted) for.
