30 Spirit permanently gone, beginning of Act 1 - Cruel

Level 47 monk, not using any gear with spirit bonuses

I recently finished Act 3 and started over on Cruel. After the Miller fight, while in Clearfell Encampment, I decided to rearrange some skills. At this point, I have Herald of Ice and Ghost Dance using up my 60 total spirit- 30 from King in the Mists and 30 from the Bog Witch.

I accidentally removed Ghost Dance for just a moment, and slotted it right back in, but I'm unable to turn it back on because now it's showing me that I only have 30 spirit in total.

I know for a fact that I got 60 spirit and I was definitely able to run both persistent buffs because I had been for a while. Am I missing something here or is this a bug? I just want my spirit back lol

OK - I think I may have a vague idea of what happened here. I have a 46 ranger on which I completed both King in the Mists and Bog Witch, and claimed the spirit from both drops. When I started my monk and got my first spirit gem (as a drop from King in the Mists), I claimed my 30 spirit, cut Herald of Ice, slotted it up, and noticed that the monk was using 30/61 spirit - I know this for a fact because I sent a message to a friend to basically say, "Whoa! Spirit is shared account-wide? That's kind of crazy!"

I don't know where the extra 1 spirit came from - at the time, I assumed it was just a gear bonus and didn't bother checking further. At some point, I either slotted up Ghost Dance and didn't turn it on, or the apparent bug was still present and I DID turn it on and later it all corrected itself when I accidentally removed Ghost Dance.

In any case, next new character I create, I'm going to try to keep an eye out to see if it displays 60 spirit instead of 30 after I claim the drop from King in the Mists. I just don't know if I can replicate the exact steps I took when I logged off the Ranger and moved on to the Monk (did I kill the game? did I just go to character select and pick the Monk? that, I can't remember)

On my Monk, I went back to Azak Bog and made sure to do the Bog Witch fight. Servi met me at the entrance as if I had never been there - which at this point, I assume I hadn't because it wasn't necessary because I thought I had what I needed from the area - the extra 30 spirit.
