First impressions (Terrible game economy)
I was waiting for this game at the level of Talkative tri. I was happy with any video content.
I didn't play the first part, but I was waiting for the second part like no other game in my life After the release of the game, I think it's necessary to write a review from my side. Pros: + Complexity and a sense of challenge during the campaign. + Graphics, visuals, effects, sounds. + the combat system feels very juicy, the classes are very interesting, the monk and mercenary with their mechanics look especially fresh. You can feel the recoil of a shotgun with your mouse, or how mobs fly apart into ice shards. + the number and variety of bosses and their mechanics. + flexibility of character customization, passive tree, jam system Cons: - locations are large and empty, filled with just mobs that become uninteresting to beat. lack of side quests - many bugs both during the game and obvious interface ones, which even indie games fix in the first patch. but okay, everything will be fixed before the release - the main story is perceived as very bland, in the same Diablo 4, Lilith's presence is felt everywhere, the story is imbued with an atmosphere of apocalypse and hopelessness. - replaying the first three acts to reach the endgame is perceived as a support or a crutch, and going through the same thing again with the same character was burdensome and uninteresting, knowing that the locations are large and empty. - but the biggest minus for me is the game's economy, as you progress through the content the game turns from an action RPG with soulslike/roguelike elements into an imitation of ebey.com. This is especially noticeable when some item becomes an integral part of the build and you can't buy it at a reasonable price because buyers buy these items using macros. you have to sit for hours at the auction to get the thing you need. instead, I would rather play the game, but I can't play for fun because of the lack of adequate drops and character progression. on top of all this, there is inflation when other players start farming the endgame hard and because of the presence of currency, prices soar tenfold in one day. It's almost impossible to get good loot for your class, the range of afixes/suffixes/prefixes is simply huge and yellow things in most cases are just garbage that costs more than gold. Most uniques are useless and stop being uniques. The same Diablo 4 in terms of loot is a more democratic and player-friendly game. In addition, many black markets have opened with game currency that does not fall for ordinary players, inflation is getting worse and the economy is becoming more toxic. I want to spend time playing the game and not trading at the auction. Would I recommend this game? - If you play through the first three acts, then yes, I would. - If we talk about the endgame and building an endgame build, then no, despite all the flexibility of character customization, everything comes down to two-button builds in the end. The game's economy is too outdated and toxic, which simply colossally spoils the first impression of the game and crosses out a huge number of advantages of the game. In the current form of this game, it is still a Diablo 4 killer (there is nothing to kill there, basically), but this game does not replace lively roguelikes or soulslikes. PLEASE, REMOVE THE AUCTION OR DO SOMETHING WITH THE ECONOMY, OR LET THE PLAYERS FARM THINGS THEMSELVES. If the economy remains the same, then I will go through 6 acts on Druid at most and that's it.
