Feedback after 210 hours Rolling Slam Titan LVL 93

So, i think it's time for my two cents as i got to lvl 93 and did a fair amount of tier 15/16 maps. I played about 6k hours in poe1 on steam and some hours befor since 2014.

Its only my feedback, only about the warrior, i didn't touched any other classes, and feel free to have a different opinion.

First of all, despite warrior feels really slow, i like the gameplay, i like the impactfull style, the visuals and sound are stunning. but everytime i found a speed shrine there was a tear rolling down my face as is wears off. god damn it would be sooooo good with some more speed :p that leads to my first points:

1. Talent tree

On strength side needs some love. if i put "stun" in the searchbar, 40% of the tree is glowing, while increased stun buildup is somehow useless. i oneshot white mobs, twoshot rares and every boss is stunned after 2 slams anyway. IF you want to put usefull stun nodes in, give us some stun duration. on top we need attack or skill speed. no, i dont think we need more life nodes, im at 4,6k atm thats pretty much enough, but there is still a big gap to ES that should be adressed.

2. Game is too hard

No, its not. The hardest part of the game for me personally was act 2 and 3. I had no weapon, no currency, no gold and thought putting my levels into defense must be a good idea. no it wasnt. defense is good, oneshoting things is better.
But the scaling in difficulty at the moment is still not good. game should be start easy and get harder, not the other way around.

3. Game is too punishing in Maps

yes and no. I can feel it, was angry too when i did my progression and lost the only tier 8 map i had at this point. most times i didnt die to bosses, they were the easiest things in maps. i died most times to league mechanics. the purple orb dodging simulator in a tiny square called ritual killed me most times. right now with 82% phys mitigation, 4,6k life, 74% block and res capped the only thing that killed me 1 time in the past 4 days was the steroid ape on riverside with +4 bosslvl. besides that in t15/16 there isnt anything that can kill me if i'm not retarded with dmg modifiers on waystones.

4. The Atlas

First of all, the PoE1 Atlas is a 12/10 and i still dont understand why they changed this masterpiece into this one we got. I did a good amount of t15 maps, some t16(the vaal chance is a joke btw) and i did not found a single citadel. 50% of the maps is augury, decay or blooming field, it really feels like always the same. and some really cool maps i found a single time, its sad. biomes are kind a underwhelming i dont feel them.
The first thing i hate are the damn boring towers. there should be a random boss arena on every tower that guards it. No trash, no bullshit, just a boss. bosses are the best thing in poe2 and they are way to rare. on top, we need boss tablets.
The second thing thats really a downer for me, in poe1 i could pick a map i love, buy 50 of it, juice them and have fun with them. now if there is a map i like, i have to search for and maybe never find it. i cant do the maps i want, i have to do shitty maps to get a good one sometimes. that feels bad.

5. Crafting

Oh boy, i understand ggg wants to get some steps back, crafting in poe was far too complex for new players to begin with. and i understand that they want white items to have more meaning. but right now thats not crafting, thats gambling without any chance of winning. pumping currency on white items and pray to god isnt meaningful. i know, some people say "alteration spam wasnt fun". we do exactly the same right now, without alterations. we have to collect 300 times the same base and throw them away 299 times after transmuting them, its annoying and feels bad.
We need alteration orbs OR scouring, one of the two is enough to end this horror. in the same moment base and rare drop rates could be reduced.
the second thing are the runes. ggg said they want runes to replace the crafting bench. so with the bench we could simply overwrite an existing craft, why cant we change runes? im sitting on hundrets of useless runes and arbiter orbs, why cant we just use them to delete a runeslot? And why is there no movement speed rune?

6. Trials

I did my first trial in sanctum, god i hate it. nothing more to say as melee.
the other ones i did in ultimatum and im still missing the 4th one. i got two times a key for the final boss, but 8/10 times the tornado bird oneshots me in the 3rd round. btw, i ran lvl 75 ones, maybe lvl 93 isnt enough and i need to be 20 lvl above to not get oneshot by fckn tornado bird...i hate him so much...

there is some balancing needed, AND pls right now you can be lvl 20 and buy a carry and get all 4 ascendancy in 1 run. that should not be in the game.
Im fine if you put Ascendency Points behind a skill gate people have to overcome. but it cant be gated behind RNG or Currency. That feels bad.

7. Skill Gem System

It's fine i think. Early game it cant be used to overcome some roadblocks cause they are gated on acts, i liked that on poe1. on the other side i think greater and perfect orbs are a bit too rare. i found 1 perfect atm and i think i was lucky with that.

8. Maps are too big

No, i think they are fine. Problem here i think is the lack of mobility on some classes and backtracking. Without that the size would feel good.

9. League Mechanics

Feeling a bit boring right now, at least for me as a rly slow mapper. did a fair amount of everything but im to slow to get some more out of breaches or delirium. 300 splinters are too much for the first simulacrum/breachstone. maybe the first one should cost 100, the 2nd 200 and so on to get people in there to start with. i dont see some people mapping for 4 weeks to get their first breachstone. i know, there are classes that can clear the whole screen and get more, but i cant summon 12 minion maces that fly around and kill everything for me :p

10. Rarity

Just get rid of it, i dont understand it is again a thing in poe2. it ruins the economy and forces people to gear towards it while some classes just cant. its bad, should not be in the game, period.

Overall, game is fun, melee is fun (yes i know compared to strong classes right now it sucks, but i like how everything stumbles away after i slammed it :p )
Needs some tweaks, some changes on balance, tree, crafting and mechanics, but the base game is fun and i have trust in GGG they will make the game better patch after patch.

Hope this feedback helps a bit, when marauder? :p

Good writeup. Also enjoying my warrior. I like the slower gameplay and the fact that item drops are more meaningful and every item really matters (at least until t15).

I'd love for them to keep the pace of the campaign into end game and scale/build around that. We already have Poe 1 for people that want zoomy games. End game in Poe 2 should feel like it's own game (and I really like it so far other than the screens full of enemies in t15 and the fact that you can't retry difficult bosses in end game)
Good constructive feedback. I agree with all your points.
I think the map size is only a real problem in the campaign, because there are so many objectives to find. This is something that should be changed, because people spent alot of time in the campaign just to do these side quests, which do have important content like permanent stats. Good indicators, or easier to find quest markers would solve this.

yes, i like it too. the problem right now is, breach is arguably the best mechanic to farm currency, and its all about clearspeed, same as delirium. i got delirium to 5 a single time, and i think this try the timer was bugged :D
so the game wants us to be slow and tactical, while slow and tactical is again the worst you can do if you want currency. game needs more mechanics that are not scaling with speed in order to solve this problem.

you can port to checkpoints in campain, i heard its a lot better now than it was at the start.
for maps there should be at least the rares marked if i already encountered them. sometimes i'm leap slamming through the map, here and there a mob runs away and its kinda hard to see if it was a rare.
and it would be great if the map objective on Boss maps would be the boss itself.
Did u play it w/ mouse/keyboard or WASD?

Do you think there is room for improvement?

What do you think of canceling the attack when clicking to move?

What about the skill sometimes not linking itself with the movement and abruptly stopping character's movement?
