New to POE, how do I find friends here?

Does POE have some sort of content group finder, or clan?, or it's up to individual to figure it out?

Path of Exile's in-game community tools are exceptionally basic, as the game is generally thought of as a single-player game with bonus co-op functionality. This particular board, "Early Access Feedback" is kind of a swamp of awfulness. if you're looking for a guild that can help you settle in, the place to go would be the Guilds section of the forum, here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-forum/guild-recruitment-seeking-players. Alternatively you could check for groups or guilds in the Path of Exile Discord (which I cannot link because posting between calls at work), which I would consider to be a much more likely source of ready assistance.
