Can we stop calling poe2 "souls like"

It literally is nothing like dark souls. A dodge maneuver wasn't invented by miyazaki. We don't have stamina for that dodge roll. Enemy placement isn't static. One single enemy poses no threat outside of bosses. Items aren't unique, they're random drops. Stats are much more complex.

Also souls games aren't even hard, they're the standard difficulty from the ps2/xbox/GameCube era that only got a reputation of being hard because of the ps3/360 generation movie game trend.

Souls games are really just the happy marriage of a Falcom hack-n-slash and N64 Zelda mechanics, anyway.

Poe 1 also has a focus on timing to evade large telegraphed hits. It must be a souls-like. So does almost every game with a boss in it. All games are souls-likes

Sure I can. It's a game using RPG stats, typically popularized by DnD, with combat occurring in real time. Many games can be arpgs, but referring to an isometric arpg it typically involves using various multipliers to character stats to cut down hpardes of enemies to get an elusive shirt that gives +1 fireballs on a Tuesday during the harvest moon.

That's like calling "Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun" on the hardest difficult, a Souls like game. Only morons call any genre of hard games, Souls like.

Then they might other souls like games like "QWOP", or "Getting Over It", very souls likes according to the same ppl i am thinking XD

It feels like every other thread having someone say "GIVE ME POE NOT DARK SOULS" or something akin to that. It's mind numbing. Second paragraph is about it lol
