Feel Bad Moment - Waystones

I am loving POE2 since launch but the waystones feel really bad.

I have completed so many below tier map levels trying to farm them but no drops at my tier. I make them into rares and have put points into my atlas for high waystone drops but nothing.

I really cant believe we cant break them down to craft high levels or at least the tier we are trying to complete.

Something like D4 Sigil crafting system would work well.

It just really feels bad when nothing drops and you only get a chance to buy them when you go one level up from Doryani.

Just for reference I have only failed 2 maps early on.

Learning how to sustain waystones is the first big accomplishment of the endgame (POE1 is the same here).

Make sure you run them rare if you can, each waystone has a chance to drop other waystones on it (more mods on the stone the better).

Use towers to put tablets with + waystone drop chance.

Use the atlas nodes for higher tier and higher drop chance.

Do not waste your high tier waystones, especially those rolled with high drop chance on them. Use them strategically. Lots of tower buffs, map boss, corruption and/or irradiation.

Map bosses drop lots of maps, I normally see 3 T15 drop from one. So save your good stones for them.

If a node has no good bonuses, don't use your high tier map, just use whatever is on hand to path through that node.

You can reforge 3:1 to upgrade a stone, but don't rely on this. If you use all of your T5 maps to get a T6 and fail it.. now you're going further backwards.

Corruption and Irradiation add 1 level to the mobs, it effectively (but not for quest purposes) makes the stone a tier higher. Have both and it's 2 tiers higher. You that to your advantage as well.

I struggled at first as well, at T7 I actually completely ran out of maps. Then I sat down and thought about what I was doing, now I've got quad tabs of maps.

Thanks for your post, I am just new to POE so the tips are welcome.

I have tried a few things that you suggested but it just seems my luck isnt great.

I really feel there is/could be better solution that would work along side of that they all ready have.
