There's a reason why people are ALREADY screaming to allow skipping of the campaign.

There's always people screaming to skip something, and if they get it they will then start to scream to skip early maps too, and then skip the next thing beyond that. Luckily most devs are smart enough to not even consider this valid criticism.

Skipping the campaign... has been something people have been screaming about since leagues STARTED and it's why many people have quit the game entirely.

So... yeah, it's a valid "criticism" of their laziness and obstinance in making players play their way instead of caving to "fun".

Just imagine... how much fun leagues will be without a skippable campaign.

there is no way people are going to do the campaign every 3 months...its needs to be either skipable or shortened a lot.

Because it is boring and way too easy to have meaningful gameplay in PoE 1. If gameplay during campaign is interesting, there is no real reason to skip it or make it shorter. The more fun time the better, no? And if it is not fun to you, then gameplay of PoE 2 in general is not fun for you, it can't be for everyone.
