Lightning Conduit added cast time feels really bad
Lightning Conduit is one of if not my favourite skill in Path of Exile 1, so I was really looking forward to getting to use it finally at gem level 13 on my Archmage Stormweaver Sorceress, but this was shut down pretty fast by the extreme cast time Lightning Conduit has.
2 second cast time would already be very restrictive in using Lightning Conduit as your main skill even with scaling Cast Speed a lot, however the fact that the "+1 Second to Total Cast Time" mod ignores cast speed increases makes it feel absolutly terrible and it feels like it relegates Lightning Conduit to be only used with Cast on Shock setups, which make you completly ignore the Cast Time. In my opinion the better way would be to just have it have a cast time of 1s and not be able to be triggered by Cast on Shock. Last bumped on Dec 31, 2024, 11:08:39 AM

Tried to pivot a build into it, as soon as saw the cast animation i decided I'm never doing that. I'm either having it trigger or not using it, using anywhere near melee mobs would just get me killed.

GGG really messed up the long cast time spells. They are completely unplayable manually casting.

And whats with Lightning spells only giving 2 Energy while freeze gives 10? Cast on Shock is useless.
