This game is beyond unbalanced.
" I made it to lvl 6 on my warrior until I shafted it - slam skills feel beyond off. I don't want to say they are bad, they just completely anti-fit my playstyle Farming salt on the forums since 2024

All spell builds will not get good damage until you have + skills.
Sorc starts out rough. She's a monster. I'm hitting Zarokh, The temporal for over 100k per hit with 1 spell. You get a damage multiplier literally for going below zero resistances. Anytime someone says single target is bad it's because your build is not for boss killing. The same skill Destroys every map with the same setup. You don't need negative on most stuff. But for huge endgame bosses without you won't be killing them anytime soon. It's not a get gid issue, its a "I don't understand how spell damage works" issue. You have to solve getting 75% pen on your main skill with a corrupt on gloves. Rest is in tree. Then your exposure starts at -20(can be enhanced up to -50% and no more from what see, some uniques may break this rule) and you can inflict exposure on a different skill since it is triggered for specified time. Penetration cannot go below 0. Exposure has no limit but there is one cause you can only grab so much. To call Sorceress bad right now is insane. I could make a build for any class(that casts spells) to destroy Zarokh. Except melee and I have no desire to play it. They will never nerf the build I play because it is tuned in and its farms tons of currency while it powers up to kill him. I thought one skill build with curse was op. It can never be OP because of mana multipliers. It's garbage and the clear was bad. Just add in your Spell to get exposure up and you will see. Maximum Penetration is at least 75% on any Boss, then every 1% of negative exposure will turn all of your damage true and then you get a multiplier. If you can 1 shot white mobs and packs and chaining is not upping your dps or something silly like that your boss dps is low over this issue. I love Sorceress and have made over 100 Divines. These Divines are how i power up and have enabled builds through PoE 1 since launch and I will do it here. Math is not hard as you think. PoB is not needed at all. Playing a popular streamer build will destroy the budget that you will never have. You have to play what you like. Have fun with it and Dial it in for exactly what you are doing. The best advice for any new player to PoE series is to learn how to make your build work. Everything is able to be hovered with a very specific explanation. Very few fights need you to look up for help. I would argue the orbs in Zarokh aren't intuitive and you don't expect the slow, but 1 relic takes 14% of that slow off. Fixing it all. If you want to play endgame don't buy your Ascendancy. Go as far as you can a couple nights in a row and die. You need those relics anyways to make it possible. This is for your last ascendancy point and learning how to beat this fight is going to decide whether you give someone your only divine on league start or not. You have about 6 months to figure out the fight and your build. Knowledge has always been power in Path of Exile and resistances are here to stay so get Maximum Penetration and come find me in /global 420. That's my home. The majority of the shit that was busted has been nerfed I'm guessing there is some other weird shit going on somewhere but for the most part you know its fixed as they work quietly behind the scenes. DO I think the Zarokh fight is hard: yes. How many tries to beat it : 4 How long is the fight: for me roughly 5 min Do I need certain Minor boons to win: Yes they are absolutely win conditions I think Zekhema has unfair mechanics, like making CI builds play 1 hit runs:yes If they were to nerf this fight I will absolutely crush it so I actually would be in favor of leaving it for a while until you all figure out what the hell I am talking about. The problem with nerfing the Zarokh is that then I want every Citadel nerfed. And my player power would be buffed, and need nerfed. We are at a decent balance for casters IMO. Melee players need love probably but i did here a happy monk who could freeze or shock whole packs with ease yesterday. So things may be good for them already. I hope the melee players are happy as many have had a desire to play functioning ones and the graphics here are stunning to anything I've ever played. I've leveled a Witch . Hexblaster one.
Having no issues with the packs of mobs , but the moment yellow mob comes or God forbid a Boss , there goes 10 minutes timewasting. My hexblast does 2.9 k damage in Cruel Act 3. Level 54 And that would be fine if my low damage was compensated by survivability , but its not. I have 75 resistances , 3 k Energy Shield , and i am still getting oneshot. My single target ability does 2100 damage. My monk at level 40 had 9.800 damage on Ice Strike. I used that same weapon up until level 74. |

Your posts sound kind of unhinged OP. Not good feedback just a tantrum.

That's PoE in a nutshell, play the massively overtuned skills or suffer zero damage and grinding for hours and hours and hours for an item to make your build playable.
Oh and if you read someone's guide and play meta don't forget to say how easy the game is and how trash any other players opinion is. Last edited by AmpegV4#2473 on Dec 22, 2024, 7:02:50 AM

" The guys point out the entire leveling problems from start to act3 cruel. You answer to egobloat about endgame lol. Also this isn't poe1, pen is almost useless if you don't play a hit based dot build. Can't go into negative. There's almost no reason to go past 20% pen on spark. Curse and exposure for bosses. Sorc is relatively difficult during the first playthrough and not all skill really work. I also died a lot, but then I hardly ever died in cruel difficulty.
I'm at level 71 now with my frost sorc and I'm starting T2 maps. Currently 69 deaths. Not very good, but considering all the experimenting and also running with my guildmates leveled down for several hours (that shit's not balanced), I'd say it's ok. I've died twice in maps so far, once by a ritual with tornado in a stupid hallway and once to a boss where I didn't expect it to hit that hard. It's doable... |
