Auction House: same problem as in PoE 1
You need an item, you find it at a good price, you whisper to buyer with website and no one answers.
It's not hard: add a damned Auction House. You add an item, I buy immediately, everyone is happy. Welcome to 2024, problem solved. Trade Market is a good start but it is not enough. Last bumped on Dec 23, 2024, 7:40:10 AM

I don't know which is stupider, still fighting for something that has been stated, explained, and proven over the years to actually YES be detrimental to games...
...or following up with a +1 which is basically like a thumbs up for the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You can stop now. It's not happening, it would ruin the economy, this has BEEN EXPLAINED A BILLION TIMES BEFORE. |

" I don't know what problems you have. For decades other games have had Auction Houses, just imagine World of Warcraft, which has been around for 20 years. Go back to your bubble, if you're happy with this system. I'm glad that you are happy. But if other people don't think the way you think it's your problem, not mine. Don't waste your time here, answering me with stupid comment without no reasons, if you are happy without an Auction House. |

" I don't know what's funnier the part where you think there's an economy to ruin left or the part where you think making a manifesto means people would both read it, or magically make the reasoning for it sound. Keep explaining it for 7 more years, I'm sure it'll magically make the trade system for PoE1 NOT bad. Before anyone else chimes in. Just because the crafting system is bad doesn't mean the trade system has to be bad to compensate, have you people ever considered NOT having a bad crafting system? Oh wait, you did. It was Harvest. lmao. |

trade removes a million friction points from finding an item, i think its fine that it adds back 10 friction points from not being instant get whatever you want immediately.
look at all the people right now who want an ssf mode with increased drop rates. the reason they dont want trade to be super easy is because if its super easy then you will get way more powerful from using it and then its impossible to balance the game to work for traders and ssf players. however hard you are finding it to trade, its obviously still a lot easier than it is to find the item yourself or you wouldnt be doing it. so is there really a case for making it easier? the currency exchange was needed and i argued for us to have that for a long time, but i dont think there should ever be an instant buyout AH system for gear. trade adds a sense of value to items in the game but you dont actually want most players to trade a lot and find the system really easy to get what they needed immediately. this is not WoW, this is a game that is all about the loot hunt and character progression. poe1 has the best trade system of any arpg ever made and that is clear to see. its not even close. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" As if the economy isn't cooked already because of group MF,bots, pricefixers, people re-listing every item for 1 div when they get an instant whisper from live-search because "my item could be worth more!" and all the people that bought their divs when they were 3 ex each before the scarab nerf hit lol The economy is already broken in many ways, an AH would at least allow people to buy/sell gear easier instead of having to whisper 100 people. We aren't saying add AH to fix the in-game economy and make it perfectly balanced, because that's just impossible with how meta gamers play and because of MF. We're saying AH is needed for player quality of life, just look at how many problems currency exchange fixed and how much better the game felt because of it. Best feature added in years. So +1 for in-game market. Even if it's just simple instant-buyout on items that people have listed just like how currency exchange works. |

" You've never played any other MMO to say that. You truly live in a bubble and I'm sorry you never got out of it. Imagine this: Thousands of years ago you go to a Market with your Cow and you read the sign: "We trade a Sheep for your Cow". You go to the guy and say: "Good morning, I have a Cow and I want to trade it with that Sheep" and that guy looks at you and doesn't answer you. And you "hmm...Sorry...I would like that sheep for my cow, shall we do the trade?" and that guy looks at you and doesn't answer you. Well...PoE 2 now is this: I whisp, No answer, I check the website after a while (because you know...I like also to play) and the item is no longer available or the buyer is offline. You're starting to feel stupid, aren't you? |
