QoL Improvements (list will get updates)
Hello everyone,
I am certainly not a hardcore, nor extremely well versed in the PoE universe, however, I played Poe1 rather casually since pretty much day 1 (if I remember correctly :D ). PoE 2 is far more enjoyable for a Poe1 casual player than I hoped! Nevertheless, since this game is on the same path, to listen to the players, as BG3, I highly commend them for this and will provide feedback, the way I've done in BG3 as well! So here goes the list: [80 hours Merc, Dec. 21] 1. Connections to all 6 in-between areas in the Passive Skill Tree Why you ask? Well, PoE2 is out to give as much creative freedom as possible. But I still feel, like I am being restricted with my build and can't get much more out of it unless I get to the other side of the PST. Therefore, I present my idea of creating Attribute Points in the in-between empty regions of each class. https://ibb.co/fFFpbP7 These will cost 2 levels, and provide +8 for the chosen Attribute, as it is a huge decision to make, which way you want to go. Personally, I am chasing all that is Freeze buildup and cold damage for my Mercenary, as I am building a non-meta build i.e. No Grenades, to experience the game as it is meant to be, without a guide holding your hand :) (hate me for saying that if you want), and unfortunately, there is not much around for such a build for the Mercenary ST. Thus I want to go to the other side of the PST. 2. 1 Free-to-Place Passive Skill Point at the end of Act 3 in normal and cruel A difficult Quest at the end of Act 3 is normal and cruel to give the player the option to choose 1 Free-to-Place Passive Skill Point. This would go a very long way in providing additional creative Freedom in builds. Sometimes there is a Skill you want to get, but you would have to traverse 30 other passive skills, in order to get there, and thus you decide that it is not worth waiting and spending so many levels on this alone. By giving this as a reward for a very difficult quest for the respective average level in Act 3 normal/cruel, players will earn a truly valuable skill point which will make it feel really deserved in my humble opinion. Restrictions would be, that the skill point that will be chosen by the player, cannot be used for further development in that area, i.e. you cannot start choosing skill points next to the one you chose, to continue that path. It is a One-Stop-Shot, you choose, and you can't move on from that Skill, but you got what you were looking for! 3. Dual Wielding Crossbows Why are the dual-wield skill points in the direct vicinity of the mercenary ST? Well my guess would be: a) Plans for release are made to include "Automatic Reload Crossbow", in order to equip 2 of them b) Additional specialisation, for dual wielding c) 1H and 2H Crossbows, still realistic, 1H crossbows as dual wielding, with negative impact on reload speed, if not fully automated reload Crossbow This includes a few ideas aswell, such as the "Automated Reload Crossbow", the "1H Crossbow" small like an MP5 or Uzi and the "2H Crossbow" that would be like an LMG. Additionally, the specialization "Medieval Gunner", which will allow those "special crossbows" to be used. 4. Mini-Maps for short-term orb farming with 4 mini-maps per calendar day, per day Have an area/map after finishing the normal game, where people with limited time can still farm a few regal or exalted shards. Not the orbs straight away. I feel like there is currently not enough orb/shard drops to really play around with them. Obviously some restrictions have to be set, in order to avoid that the players with more time, do nothing else but farming those maps and will have an overflow of exalteds after 3 days non-stop rushing those maps :D. Thus, you can only play these maps, maximum 4 times per day. Only maximum of 20 per week and 50 per month. Must meet lvl requirements of 40+. This is it for now, more to come once I am done with cruel :) Cheers, Siles Last edited by Siles2004#3469 on Dec 21, 2024, 9:42:58 AM Last bumped on Dec 21, 2024, 9:45:01 AM
