How do trials of Sekhemas reattempts work?

I got to the trial of Sekhemas in Act 2 and I heard they are a limited resource, and now I'm afraid to attempt them to not brick my character.

Can someone explain how the reattempts of failed trials work, as I'm kinda certain I'm going fail miserably the first few attempts?

PS: sorry just noticed it's in the wrong category. Thought it works as feedback too as there are likely other people like me avoiding content because of potential risk.

If it is your first trial (in first playthrough, on Normal) the token will be preserved and will not be lost on failure and just sit in the altar, allowing back-to-back attempts using the same token. These tokens count as quest item and colored Green, for both Trial of Sekhema (drop from first time killing Albalababababa - what ever her name was) and Trial of Chaos (drop from first time killing Chimera).
Upon reattempt the trial, the sequence of reward is the same (for Trial of Chaos) but the map, affliction and boss will be randomized anew.
From second time onward (for each trial after you successfully cleared the first) failure will consume your token and you have to farm new token to reattempt the trial. The token can randomly drop from any mobs.
I have seen both cases where a dc/crash kick you out of trial AND don't on two different occasions. It would be a new QoL update for early access, I am not sure.
