Dark Effigy dont benefit from all Totem Notes

Hello,

i tested with my witch (Infernalist) to build up a totem build with Dark Effigy and i tried a few different Passiv combinations. I tested Ancestral Bond to get more Totems, but nothing with 400 spirit. Also i tested Ancestral Artifice and Watchtowers for each +1 Totems. But nothing also... i dont understand why there are spell totem notes and these notes dont work?
This is my first report, dont know if its ok with this.

From what I've heard some notes are attack totems nodes and not spell totem nodes, dont shoot the messenger I know it doesnt state that well, thats also my problem. I went all the way up to ancestral bond just to discover the node doesnt work with spells, than somewhere on reddit someone said its an attack totem and thats why ancestral bond doesnt work, this set me so off, and disappointed I didnt tried ohter nodes anymore.
Instead it would say attack totem and spell totem so we would know the difference, but maybe its just me. Nowhere in the ancestral bond it says they attack totem, or perhaps cause it says "wooden construct" we should have understood its an attack totem. All in all, its not very clear stated imo
