Blood Sacrifice quest uncompletable - No dagger or heart in Cruel

I've seen other people have different variations of this issue, but I haven't found a fix for mine.

I did not complete it in either difficulty and I discarded the heart in both. I went back and compeleted it without the heart in the first difficulty, the dagger was there and it placed the heart on the altar despite not having it in my inventory.

However, I cannot get it to work in the second difficulty. Initially, I found the dagger but the heart would not enter the altar, so I ended up discarding the dagger. When I returned to make another attempt the dagger was not no longer at the altar and it still says I'm missing the heart.

I have tried entering from different instances, I've reset every instance in the act, I've restarted the game, I've waited an hour, I have gone back to through the portal and killed viper then ran through, I've entered from Black Chambers. I have looked for the dagger in my inventory and stash(lol). None of it has worked.

The dagger is no longer there and I cannot complete. I think I'll contact support after Christmas time and see if I can get help.

Otherwise, if anybody has any suggestions I'm happy to try them out. Thanks.

This was resolved for me today.

I've returned a few times this week to look for the heart and dagger, today the heart dropped after a hundred or so mobs and although the dagger did not appear on the ground, I could place the heart and stab it with only the heart in my inventor.

I'm not sure if the problem was patched or it took many clears and many hundreds of mobs for the heart to finally drop.
