Strongboxes are a broken mechanic currently

Every strongbox I have encountered up to this point in my playthrough has raised an eyebrow. I had two in my map today, the first was "guarded by 16 packs of monsters." Ok... well I opened it and ... I suppose that was 16 packs of monsters? It felt like, possibly 2 or 3 monsters every 15 seconds or so (very slow). The second one is the picture I am uploading, where it is guarded by 8 packs, lightning storm, contains a unique item. The box spawned ZERO monsters. My theory is that the monsters are possibly in-between the walkable areas of the map.



I really hope GGG takes a look at the strongbox mechanic as it stands, because to me it doesn't feel like it is functioning properly. I was a huge fan of strongboxes in PoE 1 and really want to see this mechanic done correctly!!!

I also think current Strongbox behavior is very weird. The spawns are really slow and also in some cases very far away from the box itself.

Tested this by clearing everything around first and then opening it. Packs spawned up to ~2 screens away in other parts of the map, probably depending on the layout (open or narrow areas).
