The trial of the Sekhemas is too complex with this honor system

Hello GGG,

Thank you again for delivering the updates in record time. We are fortunate to have a company that listens to and responds to players' requests. That’s very rare these days.

Like many others, I find the Trial of the Sekhemas far too difficult. The honor system and the randomness of the inflictions make it overly complicated. It’s almost impossible to complete all the stages.

Why did you add this honor system? In my opinion, it would have been more sensible to simply make the mobs stronger between each boss to cap the difficulty without adding such punitive and unnecessary randomness. This mechanic just makes players want to skip this part of the game altogether. And I believe, without much doubt, that the percentage of players who have surpassed Trial level 66 is extremely low.

This system relies far too much on randomness, and very little on skill or dodging. The persistent slow effects make the experience even more horrible and unpleasant. I’m not suggesting we go back to something like the Labyrinth in POE 1, but I genuinely think that the “honor” mechanic is frustrating and adds nothing except unnecessary punishment.

Please make this part of the game more achievable and focused on the difficulty of the bosses or intermediate mobs, rather than the randomness of the afflictions and the honor gauge, which is essentially just an uncontrollable health bar. I see no gameplay value in it because we have no impact on it, other than endlessly farming relics in the hope of (once again randomly) reducing the penalties to counteract the randomness.

POE has never been a game based on RNG but rather on skill and equipment. This system feels like the complete opposite.

I hope this feedback is heard.

Even if you could restart at the beginning of a floor, the randomness would've been fine. But it's ridiculous you progress to the very last boss and if you fail there, you have to waste another 30-45 minutes just to get back there with a completely different set of boons/afflictions that could screw you over all the same. I tried doing the 4th trial boss once and I simply won't go back, it's such a massive chore just to try again.
Then do the trial of chaos you have options.

After the nerf to sekhemas I dont know how anyone is having trouble with it though
the honour resistance is a joke. I did not see any difference in how fast it dropped with minimal damage.

very ignorant post, trial of chaos for third ascendancy drops in t10 maps and is completely overtuned still.
trial of sekhema is still very difficult even with 70%+ honor res if you are not a diehard poe1 sanctum enjoyer.
You can get lucky of course like me and make it to the final room before the third boss and get a vendor with cannot take damage option^^but you would have to mnake it to that room in the first place, haha

Uber Bosses are not easy because Ben beats them all in ssf on day 3, game is not to easy because junroan gets all voidstones after 10-12 hours, there will always be players like that, jsut liek there are a some sanctum fans that repeatedly palyed this mechanic to the point where they consider it easy... it doesn't mean content is easy^^

If I’m not mistaken, the Trial of Chaos doesn’t allow me to allocate my Ascendancy points, so it’s completely unrelated.

As for the nerf, reread my statement: they only nerfed certain things and absolutely not the randomness I’m talking about. Once again, this is off-topic <3

So I was in the camp of thinking it really kinda sucks for melee but with the fixes and a little effort of getting honour resist and % inc max honour relics it made it really quite doable and even easy for me as titan. Sure i'm probably over leveled and over geared but I am playing this game on a pc that was built when Diablo 3 came out albeit a couple of upgrades so most of the time I have < 30 fps and sometimes < 10 fps nonetheless it was still doable. Give it a bit more of a chance and some effort, you'll get there.

I see what you mean, but I sincerely think the randomness is too excessive. The direct damage to the honor bar (poison, traps, AoEs, etc.) makes the experience really unpleasant.

This is just my opinion, but the fact that you need to be overleveled, overgeared, and that skill, dodging, or even the character’s health are completely irrelevant due to the honor mechanic is incredibly frustrating.

I’m more than willing to accept frustration when there’s a solution : found better gear, better dodging, etc. But here, it’s a mix of luck, randomness, and repeated attempts just to "get lucky" with manageable afflictions. On top of that, it feels far too time-consuming in my opinion.

I just want to clarify that I enjoy challenging content and try-hard gameplay. But this isn’t try-hard—it’s just luck. At this point, I might as well be playing roulette or poker (and even those have less RNG).
