grenadier feedback & others.
I enjoy a lot the first 3 acts and outside of the trials (hate them) and endgame I haven't tested yet (will wait some balance patch I think) look good. A few suggestion/feedback :
- AOE dmg should be based on how much of your hitbox is in the AOE. Getting oneshot when you have only part of your foot in the aoe, feel cheep. - I like how in act 2, enemy lightning is yellow, that make it distinct from player elements. Why not give different colors for enemy elements so you can easily identify them ? - Add a perfect block to rise shield, so if you use the skill at right moment you can avoid a oneshot. - Rise shield should protect you from the blinding effect of flash grenade. - the grenade spread is horrible, in particular when you have 2 grenades. They never get through door and are to far spread. It make the +1 grenade node a downgrade if you don't use the scatter support. Reduce the spread for 2 grenades! - Add 2 new grenade support gems : one that increase spread and give + aoe size, one that reduce the spread and the aoe size. - Perhaps a support gem that make grenade explode at contact ? (with less dmg ?) - Grenade don't always go over ice/stone wall skills. Really random to be able to lobe them over. Since grenades are indirect weapons, make them ignore player walls ? - Or add a support gem that make grenade go higher but shorter, like artillery fire. And perhaps another one that transform grenade in a more direct path, but can't lob. - In general, lack of new weapon skills. You could have xbow with bayonet that give you a melee attack, or new type of ammo for more exotic xbow. It's same with shield & melee weapons. - I noticed (using wasd), I don't shoot when I left click with shooting skill on an item on the ground. My character try to pick the item. I think I tried with the checkbox to not walking while shooting, but need to test again. Perhaps I missed an option, but I don't want my character to pickup item when I click in combat. - In general aiming feel off, got the same problem with my monk, I'm often unable to aim at my bell. - too much delay with xbox skills? You already need to click in a skill to switch ammo, and a new button press to shoot. You have attack speed, reload speed, ammo switching speed ? Grenade cooldown... Feel very unresponsive compared to other classes. I press button but nothing happen because of some delay? Lack of visual feedback. Like a progress bar when reloading/switching (like gears of war). - 1 skill mapping for each weapon set ? I like how you can quickly switch between weapons depending of the skill, but since I can press a button to switch weapon, why not be able to set 2 different skill bars? Add an option/checkbox to just duplicate for people who want simplicity, but if I want freedom I would like to change some of my skill setup when I swap( I'm not talking about gem, but button setup.
