Current citadel system punishes you for juicing

if i wanna find the citadels i cant do the maps i just juiced from the towers because i kind of have to keep running through the fog of the atlas.. i think the system needs to be a little bit more in touch with the risk and reward of path of exile.
the way its solved in POE1 is that you just have a counter for how many maps you completed until you get an Eater or Exarch invitation and that.. kind of solves that issue.

yep exactly what i thought yesterday. its awful, you either do useless maps through the fog or juice maps and never get any citadel at all
Another solution could be that citadels always spawn X nodes from each other (30, 40, 50, or whatever) starting from the pyramid. I don't know how it is at the moment since they never mentioned how they arranged it. Invitations... dunno, I kinda don't want a situation like in PoE1 where you're stuck with quest invitations in your inventory that you can't stash, so if they should ever go the invitation route again, I just hope they keep that in mind.

yeah i agree, my suggestion was just to mention that the issue does not happen in POE1.
