Don't let POE2 Devolve into POE1. Solution for game progression

*** Sure, leveling 2nd and 3rd chars can be annoying right? well how about they SOLVE it by giving us a L30 character when we make it to L60 or beat the campaign act 1-6 with a character? each char we beat the campaign with grants us a new L30 character of our choice. This would be a fantastic solution. ***

This way... they don't have to make the game too easy. You can maintain some difficulty and please... Make ACT 4/5/6 more difficult! Why are things getting easier?? Should it not be the opposite?? What an awful progression if that's the case.

if anyone else has any ideas please share them here!

THIS is literally the exact problem with half the people, who are supposedly super positive and loving the game!

You start with "i want the challenge, i want the deliberate combat", "You can maintain some difficulty and please... Make ACT 4/5/6 more difficult! Why are things getting easier??" and then literally a few lines later you write "leveling 2nd and 3rd chars can be annoying right? well how about they SOLVE it by giving us a L30 character"

So what are you even talking about? You "want the challenge", but then you also "want a lvl 30 character". XD rofl, Dude. Are you for real?

Unless they came from PoE1 Ruthless they are just idiots cosplaying as "elite gamers"

Anyone who really thinks PoE2 is more challenging than PoE1 is basically just saying "i would rather spam dodge rolls and learn a game that is easier than the easiest Lost Ark raid than employ my brain even a little bit"

They want to glory in the supposed "difficulty" of an easy game but also don't want to have to actually deal with grinding despite asking for it.
Level boosts and handouts is never the solution.

You'll get faster and more efficient at running the campaign.

I ran the campaign on my second character in under 14 hours and I was not stressing at all.

Can definitely do it under 10 hours to get to endgame which is not excessive or long at all.

I personally hope for the rest of the acts to make the campaign longer.

why the need to insult?

do you feel like someone attacked you?

be real. the best way to do ubers in poe1 is to either burst them or just get enough defences that their attacks dont matter.

at which point what skill is involved? wheres the difficulty? people just stand around with zero fear of death while draining the boss hp down.

spamming dodge rolls also is a skill. one of the hilarious clips ive seen someone post is of themselves rolling only after getting hit.

hell, if you dont time your dodge rolls properly you'd eat a huge slam.

but yeah lets downplay all this and belittle people.

Pretty much. I'll be completely honest: I don't want the difficulty of the base PoE game to be too high, and I don't really like this kind of difficulty. I've always enjoyed that PoE 1 was mainly a knowledge game and not a skill game. This focus on timing and dodging and movement... I don't know. I don't like it.

And to be clear, there's nothing wrong with being competitive. But the reason the Gauntlet has always been super popular in PoE 1, was that while it was exactly this kind of "prove yourself" competition, it was A. voluntary and B. occasional.

There is skill in knowing how to prepare. I think that this actually nicely illustrates the difference. There are different kinds of difficulty.

In PoE 1, things are difficult to learn, but once you know what to do, the fights are easy. This is good. For many people, this is enjoyable.

In PoE 2, there is a limit to how much you can prepare, and ultimately the fights require that you are mechanically skilled. For many people, this is enjoyable, and for many, it is not.

This is where the disconnect is. It's not just about how difficult it is, but also about what kind of difficulty we're talking about.
The fact that you have hidden PoE1 characters, no supporter packs, and only talk about the campaign speaks volumes about how valuable your feedback is.
Love the games. PoE1 way more so than PoE2, but still enjoying both.

Hate the company. The scummy, lying, fake and shitty facade, the excuses, the failures, and most of all, the "Vision".

Keep both of those in mind when reading my posts.
items scale too much with +200% damage, +flat damage +as.
Especially phys damage, as increasing phys damage means you will bypass more enemy armor resulting in much more damage growth.

For example if you hit enemy for 100 phys damage vs 100 armor (50% reduction = 50 damage dealt), but upgrade your damage by 50% (to 150 damage) - it will now be reduced by same 100 armor by only 40%, resulting in 150*0.6 = 90 damage hit, ie = 80% dps grow.

There is no hidden mechanics, weapons just scales too enourmous as in poe1, with all their affixes contributes to dps (possibly, if roll right ones), transforming item into 10x better version.
