Chaos Orbs not working as intended?

So, risking sounding like a lunatic, I'll just post this here, because I either am the luckiest/unluckiest (Jury's still out on that one, you'll see) human being in the existence of reality, or there is something wrong with Chaos Orb interaction.

I have a Belt, that has 6 mods on it, 5 I don't care about, 1 is charm slots. "Great, chaos orb that thing and gamba to not lose the charm slot." I told myself, about 5 hours ago.

I have gone through 200 chaos orbs, and not only have I not lost the charm slot (My goodness) but also I HAVE THE EXACT SAME ITEM WITH THE EXACT SAME MODS WITH THE EXACT SAME ROLLS (Except the life roll, the life rolled 2/200 attempts and ended up being less, but I digress)

So I am either a god at rolling the exact same thing multiple times, OR chaos orbs no workey as intendey? Can Someone please tell me I am not alone here?Bbecause I feel like a lunatic right now...
