Can't equip weapon

I got this two handed mace and have the giant's blood notable yet it wont let me equip the weapon with or without another weapon equipped. It says level 16 and str 38 requirement, I am lvl 17 and have 102 strength.

I have the same problem. Can't equip this weapon. With the shield on it says that I must remove shield charge. Without anything: not strong enough WTF?

so i figured out what my issue was, giants blood triples requirements but doesnt update tooltip
if you have giants blood that mace requires 579 so you cant equip |
