Demon Form causing disconnection

I'm having this issue as well. I'll share some details and testing to hopefully help narrow it down.

I'm playing on PC with a controller
I tried out demon form for a bit several days ago. It seemed to be working normally. I may have needed to swap weapons or reset my spirit to get my minions to spawn but I'm pretty sure thats a separate issue with minions.

This would have been normal Act 3.
*IIRC*: SSF at that time, no +minion level gear, Summons: Hound, warriors,Arsonists, SRS.

I tried it earlier today and I was getting immediately disconnected when transforming in or out of demon form. I do transform tho. It even shows in character select. I couldn't find a fix so I dropped it.

+6 minion level. Hound, Ravagers, clerics, SRS. No blasphemy.


I just decided to try again to see I if anything had changed. I DC'd the moment I allocated the points.

Behavior persists with no spirit points allocated on either weapon set.
In human form, unequipping my wand just caused a DC. Its still on my cursor when I reconnect.


!!! Demon form works when nothing is equipped !!!

Still works with the +minion level pieces reequipped and then everything else.

Putting my wand back in set 2 main hand caused a DC and now demon form is causing a DC. Unequipping it caused a DC. Demon Form is borked again

Demon Form works again after unequipping my +minion level gear. reequipping the +2 helm caused a DC and the broke demon form

Removing everything fixed it.

Apparently order matters because Helm, Amulet, (belt for str), scepter is the only sequence I found to put on the minion lvl pieces that didn't bring the DCs back

OK I think I found a fix.

!!! Fixed this by taking enough strength for my scepter without gear bonuses
... but its still being weird about spirit allocation... and skill gems?

I dunno man... I unequipped ravagers and grim feast. I've got hound, SRS, 5 arsonists, and a cleric, and 0 spirit remaining. Demon form seems to be working at the same time as my build. I'm afraid to touch anything

Having the same problem.

Just re-speced to discover I have the same issue.
No items with + X to minion level.
Seems to be any minion skill gem I have equipped will cause it to crash.
Hope this gets addressed and fixed soon...
