Second ascendancy fully bugged (yes really)

I am currently unable to start any trial for my second ascendancy. This includes Trial of Sekhemas and Trial of Chaos.

For my first ascendancy I did the Trial of Sekhemas. After that I did the Trial of Chaos, the coin said Number of Trials: 4. On completion the statue did not give any points.

After that I had some more tokens for Trial of Sekhemas, the one I tried said Number of Trials: 2. On completion it was the same, no points from the statue.

Currently all my tokens for both trials say they will NOT give points when inside the trial lobby area. When not in it they all say they will let me choose my ascendancy as if I never did it in the first place.

I though maybe the tokens were bugged, so I dropped them hoping that would possibly let me start the quest again by getting another drop for them. However, I have farmed the rare mobs that drop them and now nothing drops at all.

I currently have the quest that says to investigate the Traitors Passage. I've gone there in both normal and cruel, then killed Balbala, no coin drop and the quest still says to investigate.

So, currently I have no more tokens to even do the Trial of Sekhemas again, and they do not drop anywhere for me any more.

I do have one token left for Trial of Chaos that is level 62 and says number of trials: 7. I'm wary to bother doing it since when I am inside the trial lobby area it also says it will NOT award points.

This whole ascendancy quest is so convoluted and clearly something I did out of order or whatever has it bugged. Only thing I might have done different was I didn't bother with my first ascendancy until later in act 3 because I am warrior and melee honour is just annoying. However, I did do it and since then have the first quest still showing up in normal as if I did nothing.
