[Invoker] Elemental Expression needs a MAJOR buff
" Listen man you clearly are not understanding what I’m saying. Invoker monks have nodes that amplify spell damage that they can/will take to reach certain nodes (gain 40% damage when invoking a spell, or the ascendency node where meta skills generate 35% more energy). The skill also gains damage from elemental damage bonuses, like the prefix on quarterstaves that says deal x% more elemental damage. I’m not saying have it reserve spirit. I’m saying have it cost energy that is built up with crits. That’s it. Eliminate the mana cost and have it generate energy on crit to proc just like CoC. With all the energy generation bonuses Invoker Monks like to get when playing CoC, this will make the ability much more synergistic without changing the intent of the ability- a slight supplement to damage. |

Well lads, it's official. The skill is dead. Most recent patch for whatever reason stealth nerfed this build by making Considered Casting support not usable by the skill, lowering overall damage by 40%. I just got it working and using it at skill lvl 40, but with the nerf that doesn't even show up on patch notes I don't see any reasonable future with the ability unless we get adjustments in the upcoming major balance patch. I held out as long as I could, but I don't think I can do it anymore.
Thanks GGG, you've completely sacked my character just when I thought there was hope. |

To OP: Monk? Hard No.

" This is the before-last class, that I think should be buffed in any way. The last of course being the "sparkweaver". If anything, severe nerfs all over the tree and ascendancy is expected... |

" That's fine honestly, but the point still stands that this part of the ascendancy is severely shittered just by general ascendancy standards. A rebalance of the entire ascendancy is fine with me but its unreasonable to say that this skill shouldn't get buffed just because the rest of the ascendancy is much stronger. Ideally an ascendancy doesn't have dead nodes that are unusable in most manners. |

I hereby challenge you to make an elemental storm build of any kind (provided elemental storm is actually useful and not just a gimmick)
Lone that i've seen so far is from Jungroan who was, has usual, using unintended mechanics to make something look broken exepet this time even tho it could clear content it's was pretty bad + killing your frame and server. (nerf in coming) Both elemental expression and elemental storm need buff / rework. Last edited by LineArck#6395 on Jan 26, 2025, 12:32:54 PM

" Elemental Expression triggers Dynamism without having to run any meta gems, giving you 40% increased damage at basically all times (with a high crit rate). It also triggers Rising Tempest at max effect on a single proc (36% damage). It can also be socketed with Blind (free evasion and accuracy). It’s not meant to clear screens, it does a great job supporting. |

" It does not trigger rising tempest, I did my own isolated testing with the support attached to the skill and it doesn't consider any of its procs as a specific elemental skill or due to its trigger nature isn't consider 'used' and therefore doesn't benefit from/to the support. It doesn't do squat for supporting other than applying blind/maim if you're running an attack monk and there's much better skills/ascendancy passives you could probably run for an attack monk build that'll outdo the benefits gained from support EE. |
